Wad up rollitup,

So i Have this Cabinet

It's a Stereo cabinet that converted to a flower chamber, Its covered in Mylar, and duck tape on the glass doors so light doesn't leak and the curtain over it for light leaks i can't really see,

so the measurements are 38h x 22w x 15L

I just finished a grow in this cab, using 4x 23w & 1x68w 2700k CFL you can see the setup without the 68w in the pic.

First i wanted to get a 250cfl to throw in their with the 4x23w but searching i found i can get a 150w hps for nearly the same price

So i was wondering if i can fit a 150w hps in this cab, I have 2x 120MM pc fans one for exhaust and one for intake, I plan on having a remote ballast so i can have it outside the CAB, what else would i have to do to make sure i won't have a Heat issue?

this is the one i plan to buy if that gives you an idea

If you have the money give LED's a try. You could do okay with CFL's if you want but you'll want more than that. Search for some other CFL grows and copy the successful ones. Id stay away from HID because of the heat. Good luck!

I was gonna throw a few LED strips these to be exact
$T2eC16h,!)wFIY0cJr,6BSd)OhfIE!~~60_57.jpg
I'm gonna put them on the bottom sides of the cab all the way around with some more cfls, I was thinking of putting in my 2x40w 6500K CFL with 4x23w2700K Cfl and the 68w 2700k is this a good idea?? no matter what i just think LED's look cool as shit but i don't have alot of money to spend on expensive L.E.Ds, so i figured mixing with the cfls i already know bloom somthing could only help cause it looks really dull at the bottom of the CAB. but what do you guys think??

by the way dude crispy bacon, love ur avatar bro, "Well if it isn't sexy Julian" hahahahahahah!! i love that show

I'll post some pics later of the girl I just harvested with CFLs. Just use a LOT more, and a lot more efficiently. Top lighting with HID is okay, but with CFLs you aren't getting as much penetration. If you've got those power strips just hanging on there with screws (not screwed onto the wall) then what I would do is add more screws underneath it so you can move that strip around. I'd do that, turn it 90 degrees and have as many of those plugs used as you can fit with the Y adapters on each one (and turn those 90 degrees so they run perpendicular to the strip, not parallel). Assuming you can only fit 3 of those outlets, that gives you 6 lights on each SIDE of the plant, the Y adapters will make it easy to adjust the specific location of the lights, and the screws mean you can move up and down daily. You can keep your third strip up top to use for your bigger CFL, but I'd personally put that one on screws. Or leave it there for your big CFL and install your LED strips on that wall. That gives you light from 3 sides, if you turn in every day, you'll get amazing growth out of the bottom of that plant. (And if you can make those LEDs mobile similarly to the way you did the power strips, even better.

I personally don't like the big CFLs. Why? If you want a big top lit garden, why even mess with the CFLs in the first place?

And you can use those 6500K lights if you've got no other lights, but I'd replace them with the 2700Ks next time you buy lights, and move those 23 W up to the 42W 2700K and you'll be in business. With CFLs (and your combination LEDs), you want to try to keep it above a minimum of 45000 LUX (lumens per square meter) if you want to see the amazing results being had with successful CFL growers.

And Ricky is fucked in the head. Haha

Yeah, I kinda figured out how I'm going to do it, I just have to buy 250w Cfl with wing reflector, and a few more of those strips I brought some 3ft strips, that said they where ment for growing but After I saw someone who made a panel on here, I can just buy 5m strips of red & cool white LEDs an make my own panels directly on the wall of the cab, I'm basically gonna try to cover the whole bottom of the cab with LEDs with my CFl power strips mid way, an have the 250w do most of the work on top
