OBAMA: "After years of grueling recession, our businesses have created over 6 million new jobs."

THE FACTS: That's in the ballpark, as far as it goes. But Obama starts his count not when he took office, but from the point in his first term when job losses were the highest. In doing so, he ignores the 5 million or so jobs that were lost on his watch, up to that point.
Private sector jobs have grown by 6.1 million since February 2010. But since he became president, the gain is a more modest 1.9 million.
And when losses in public sector employment are added to the mix, his overall jobs record is a gain of 1.2 million.
fuzzy math
and thanks for saying Obama has shrunk the goverment

Here's some Obama math for you.

Taxpayers spent $1.4 billion dollars on everything from staffing, housing, flying and entertaining President Obama and his family last year, according to the author of a new book on taxpayer-funded presidential perks.

In comparison, British taxpayers spent just $57.8 million on the royal family.

Funny that obama didn't mention chicago at all in his gun control speech.

Chicago had more gun violence last year than newtown AND aurora COMBINED.

Oh that's right, chicago also already has the "gun control" obama wants for the rest of the country.

That sounds really fucking smart....

Smh...Obama this Obama that...shut up and grow your pot mufuka's go to Fox or CNN blog that..

Not just Chicago look at DC, and New York LA all have strong gun laws and high murder rates. Guns don't kill people, people do very simple. I've recently watched several interviews that involved Pierce Morgan ( who is little more then a whiny child) and he is always talking about how low the gun crime is in England. He however never touches on the fact that as gun crime goes down, general violent crime (beatings, stabbings, and such) increases. This can be seen in those cities with strong gun laws, and in the other countries in the world that try to instate stronger gun control. An armed society is a polite society. Australian courts didn't even have a public definition for a "home invasion" on record until after they instated the gun ban several years back. Since then they have seen a decrease in gun violence, but a 20-50% increase across the board in other forms of violence, including having to define a "home invasion" so they could start charging people with them.

Actually, he did at the end, when he mentioned the majorette who performed at his inauguration and was shot in a park located around a mile from his home in Chicago, but I understand that a lot of people were too busy seething with vitriole and feeding their paranoia to actually listen.

Ok other types of violence goes up, but with these statistics which you allude to but do not source, does the murder rate go up or down? I can understand if rates of other violence go up because it seems logical that gun violence is an escalation of other types of violence. EG something such as a fight between opposing youth groups can escalate to gun play then gets written up as a gun violence statistic, but the whole battery part gets left off as inconsequential. Long story short; when gun violence goes down and other acts of violence such as battery go up, what is the correlary to the murder rate?

Or maybe when goverment did not inhibit the ability to mine coal, pump oil, and over regulate factories to the point that they have. Several thousand coal miners have lost their job in my area due to over extending regulations, is that not a pertinent enough example of over regulation by the current goverment?
how many coal miners die every year on average due to poorly regulated coal mines?

how many dollars in coal profits are worth the life of a fellow citizen?

Obama is making us the UK. Where the haves have MUCH more than the have not
that was actually happening well before obama ever entered office, dumbass. and it was a result of a set of policies obama is trying his hardest to overturn.

still don't see that NHS style single payer, either.

you should probably not open your mouth, it removes all doubt and exposes you for the southern-educated moronic bigot that you are.

actually, people with guns kill people.

but thanks for displaying your cognitive dissonance through purposeful omission, and then condemning others for the same. the irony and hypocrisy is like a delicious afternoon treat for me.

Study after study shows that the sooner a child
begins learning, the better he or she does down the road. ...
And for poor kids who need help the most, this lack of access
to preschool education can shadow them for the rest of their
lives. ... Every dollar we invest in high-quality early education
can save more than $7 later on -- by boosting graduation rates,
reducing teen pregnancy, even reducing violent crime.
Yeah, for those who study the communist manifesto. I only started learning to read when I was 8 years old.

Teaching grade school kids calculus and statistic methods, once only taught in university, in no way betters our children. It only confuses them with ideas beyond their developmental level.
