Starting with Advanced Nutrients (for soil)

Thinking of trying Sensi Bloom / "Hobbyist" Package (Sensi Bloom, Vodoo, Big Bud, B52, Overdrive)

Why?

Because as great as Dynagro Grow is for soil, bloom doesn't seem to do good in soil - AND - because fox farms wasn't real impressive (granted, it was fox farms SOIL against Dynagro HYDRO [and the hydro plants were fucking PERFECT], so it wasn't necessarily fair)

So, this round I'm thinking AN 6-part against Dynagro Bloom / Protekt / B-52.

Just looking for general advice / tips, on either system.

Hiya M8,

I am a first time grower as well. I am using advanced nutrients micro, grow and bloom ph perfect line in a soiless mix of peat moss, vermiculite and perlite. 1 to 1 ratio

With the help of superstoner1 I started the first feeding at 1/4 str after the plants had started thier 4th node of growth.. and do a plain distilled watering in between every feeding. I then stepped up to 1/2 for 2 feeding cycles and then on to 3/4 for the remainder of the veg cycle. I fed them nutes on day 1, nothing on day 2 and 3, then just distilled water on day 4, nothing on day 5 and 6, then repeat. I have not had 1 single issue as of yet.

I have added B52, Big Bud, Carboload to the lineup as I am on my first week of flowering, same rotation as the veg cycle. I will add Overload at week 4-6 of flowering and do a serious coast down on nutes till harvest, might give them 1/4 or less on week 7 and nothing but distilled water when I think i have about 10 days left before harvest.

Hope this helps

Here I am at early 3rd week of flower.(600w cooltube) White Widow and Skunk x NL, J23 and some freebies?

I started giving carboload and big bud along with the base nutes. have b52 and overdrive waiting on start of week 4 and up to 7 then just distilled till harvest( when trichs say so).

Just got finished pruning all plants of lower growth (only a few ancient fan leaves and any lower potential bud spots that are to low in the canopy to be worthwhile). to push energy to more developed destinantions.

I use the grand masters series from advanced. All I can say is wow. The buds are really dense and heavy. I am constantly staking branches because they can't support the weight. This is a pic of Kandy Kush at day 41 or 42. I can't remember. Anyway, it's a 63-70 day strain. 2013-01-08222410_zps7b108558.jpg2013-01-08224101_zps8cc97903.jpg2013-01-08224010_zpsfbee5c0e.jpg2013-01-08222424_zps85b6c205.jpg

Really nice pictures! I haven't used AN's pH Perfect line in soil unless you count pouring my waste nutes into the veggie garden when I do a res change, but in my hydroponics it's be really fantastic.

The only thing I would point out is that in Asmallvoice's example of feeding one day, then nothing for two days, then plain water the next day, and so on - that time-table depends on how quickly your soil dries out. Just in case there's any newbies around that wouldn't know that - don't follow a schedule like that exactly. If you soil is still pretty damp on the third day don't add more water. By the same token, if they're starting to wilt the next day don't wait to water them. You gotta tailor everything to your plants, faster/slower, higher/lower ppm, etc. as they need it. Don't worry, after a little bit it's just second nature to look at your plants and see what they need from you!

Bump.

With FF OF and HF mix with soil at 6.3ish would I have to ph the every 5 day waterings? FF is so hot I would not use nutes during veg. Only bloom.
