So. Cal, Prop 215 patient.

Is it possible to start an outdoor grow now in august from seed with autoflowering variety?

It's possible to do anything. Feasible is what I would be asking. My opinion with an auto you can do it as you are working with photoperiod but you are going to have other issues like mold and possible frost. If you take great care of it I don't see why you can't pull it off. :)

yeah, I was thinking about changing the way I worded that, but forgot.:eyesmoke:

its hard to think of frost on a day like today. about 96 degres

So, the winter season will make the plants more susceptible to mold because of which environmental conditions those months?

As long as your temps dont drop below 30 degrees for more then 5 hrs at night you should be fine. In my experience with autos anywayz! Harvest in jan from outdoors autos was awesome!

Starting from seed right now would not be a good idea.. especially if your gonna buy seeds. I would only start clones at this point

Thanks for the info.

It might be worth a try. I'll just have to check on them and watch for signs of mold. Frost should be easy to cover or something, if ever.

Also, doing an auto now may show what problems I might have with bugs, etc. by the time next spring comes around to plant a photo variety.

Bugs will be different with the seasons depending on temps. You may not encounter the same ones you would during the spring. :)
