Yea man smart pots are great. I use 2 gal and 3 gal pots. They will work the same as a 5 and 7 gal regular pot would. You can use a small 2 gal pot and see a plant grow huge like it was in a much bigger pot. Its awesome....

I still love my photo-period girls...but after growing & smoking La Diva and Easy Ryder I have to say they have my head turned. Any time you can get a high sativa percentage in a hybrid as short as that...why not. Growing in a tent has a few disadvantages...#1...no tall plants over ~50" (with my setup). I've got some Blue Himalayan Diesel and some Russian Rocket Fuel from "Short Stuff" seeds that I wanted to do next but interestingly enough, I recently got some auto freebies from Attitude that are really enticing..White Cheese Auto and Haze Auto from Dinafem, G13 Lab Auto Blueberry" and Pakistan Ryder from World of Seeds. Now I can't freakin make up my mind which to grow next...what would you do next?

Ive heard good things about the auto bluberry from g13.... i would do that. But then again i am a fan of blue and purple strains....

Good thread. Looking forward to seeing it finished. I'm thinking of getting the same seeds or maybe something from short stuff. I' ve read good things about them also. Had a very bad experience with autos before. Mainly being they didn't autoflower. They were Nirvana Auto Northern lights. Had to cut to 12/12. Shit yield too.

Great journal, 808... very helpful for my next endevor into auto's. I'm definately leaning towards Easy Ryder so it's even better! I'm hoping that you and/or the others here could post some specifics about nutes that are being used. I'm also looking for a new nute brand(s) and am going to be doing half of my grow in hydro (photoperiod) (not in the same room...). For this experiment in auto's I'm tossing soil and coco back and forth, but I'd really love to get more info on nutrients...favored brand, favored feeding regimen, favorite products within the brand name, etc....
A tall order, but I know y'all can help me! I don't want to mess up on my first auto trip... Thanks to all in advance!

I've had excellent success with coco hempy buckets..using Canna Coco A&B right now with Rhizo...awesome and very tame nutrients. I was using the Lucas formuala with maybe a little more aggressive growth in the veg state...that was FloraNova Bloom diluted 50% with RO water to help measurability (it's thick stuff). It seemed tame too...young plants took it well. I switched to Canna due to a few out of town trips where I had to make up batches ahead of time...FloraNova is organic and gets pretty stinky mixed 3 days in advance. Before coco I was using Fox Farms soil with their trio of nutes....it was very strain dependent and "burny" using their guides.

Day 48

2012-08-20_16-07-37_286.jpg

Not much has changed with the easyryder. Still a very easy plant to grow. Very small.... not even a foot tall yet. Budz looks nice a compact. It looks like a very small harvest. This is a very strong plant. Not sensitive to nutes at all. Temps have stay consistent at about 82 degrees. Rh at about 50%.
