Starting Anew

Hello fellow members.

I've researched a lot but knowledge is best as on field experience. I want to start a grow operation that starts with 5 plants an plan to move onto 20 once cloning commences. But before I begin I'm stuck with the supplies issues. One being that I'm trying to to begone with LED growlights. I've heard a lot about the Grow Panel Pro but I'm afraid of spending big and gaining little out of it.

It cost roughly $1300 runs about 300w and has output of 1000w system. I hear a lot of negative and positive issues with led.

Now on another forum I encountered someone utilizing a grow light by the name of Lumigrow 330w with the same output. But this particular light allows to adjust how intense each side of the spectrum is. The reults were showing that, due to his adjustments as the grow went on, affected how the plant grew.

Lowering the blue spectrum allowed the plant to grow taller where as raising it stumps growth (height wise).

I hear HID's are one of the best but my problem is my light bill. The sooner I get started the sooner the grow journal will be up. Thanks for your time and co-op.

$3-400 for a 1000watt hps or $1300 for led light gizmo
buy a HPS & save the $900 and put it to your light bill.

I've been tryin to get an idea as to the light bill cost. How much should I be expectin to pay a month in the early stages?

soil is more forgiving but if you can be anal retentive (not always a bad thing) about your grow, hydro will produce more/quicker.
that being said, my mentor w/ 20+ yrs growing does hydro for cash crops but organic&soil for personal because he feels the buzz stays longer & buds taste better.I do soil because I am lazy/to busy to devote the time needed-my plants get checked/watered 2-3 a week at most

Thanks for the advice. I think the HPS/MH is a great idea. I did the math I can live with the light bill. I'll be ordering everything and should be starting by the end of this week.
