Starting an Indoor Grow!

Hi there,
I started a guerilla grow this year with 1x G13 Blueberry Gum and 1 x G13 OG Kush, this is my first every grow however due to the unpredictable UK weather I don't believe my plants will make it through to harvest. I vegged both my plants from seedling to around 3'' in a very cheap grow box here is brief overview of my box.
http://www.ikea.com/gb/en/catalog/products/20078031/ that's the actual box, grown in
Cut 2 square holes at the back for 2 PC fans intake and outtake
2X24W HO T5's Lights
Covered with Mylar all inside box
Lights where fit inside reflectors.

Now my question is could I grow a plant from seed to harvest inside this box, my general thought is that the lights fits almost perfectly inside the box and if I LST a plant starting at one side and LST to the other could I get a potential harvest? I am not looking for anything big but something that could last me until my next harvest. Ideally I would be selecting a strain which has a very short life cycle any suggestion on strains would be welcome. The seedlings seemed to do well when under the light however due to the short time under them I can not really be sure that they would have got them through.
For smell I am thinking of making a carbon scrubber, as I have activated carbon available furthermore I have almost a bunch of aquarium items (hence the lights) including air pumps and other stuff which may be beneficial to plants as I use to have a very lush planted aquarium which I toke down.
All advice is welcome, however do note I have a very small budget.
Thanks
Thanks for all the advice in advance.

Well, if it were me with only that box to grow in, I'd turn it on its side, fit a small HPS or larger CFL, and grow 1 or 2 the tall way. It gives you plenty of headspace, room for ventilation or heat control, and height to get a decent harvest, relatively speaking. Problem is, of course, you can only fit one or two in there.

In a normal orientation, lid closed, I'd use only tube fluoros because of the low heat factor. Plants leaves can touch the bulbs and wont burn. Not so with CFLs

you will need mouch more light then that once in flowering .. well even in late veg if you plan to veg more then a few weeks ..

and the box is to low .. pots .. plants .. light .. distance from light .. it all add up ..

but it is cheap .. for the wood .. maybe if your creativ and dont have 10 thumps ? buy two and fit em together so you have em on top of each other ..

then buy 2 more of them fixtures and take them appart and fit all 6 tubes side by side .. get some 2700K bulbs aswell and mix em up ..

then you could maybe grow sumthing smokerble ..

and dont foget a few PC fans and carbon filters and clip on fan either ..

do a few 60 days wonders (Autos/Femi seeds) in 3 gallon coco ..

I understand that the space is limited however I like it as it is stealthy almost like PC grow box. I have seen some really good LST on YouTube which make full use of a lengthy space, furthermore the pots I have are more like rectangle and are about 5gallons, as for lights I always knew that the 6500K T5 would not cut it during flowering so any cheap suggestion on how I can have some other form lighting for flowering?
