Starting a grow

Ok well im going to start a indoor grow and im thinking of buying one of those grow tents. its a 6.5 foot tall 4 foot wide 2 foot in depth dimensional tent.

i am thinking of getting a 400w hps & mh light for the tent.

so my basic questions would be,
1) how many plants can i fit in those dimensions of the grow tent.
2) & from those plants, what can i expect to yield from all of them total yield?

i will be using nutrients and proper watering and good size pots. so how many plants can fit and what ca i expect from yield

Thanks in advance to anyone who helps

You need to do some research to determine what you're trying to do.

Two 400s is kinda overkill in there and will lead to some serious heat problems.

I'd recommend one 600 instead, and for your first grow, I'd say three or four plants would be a good goal.

You could get anywhere from 4 to 8 ounces, depending on what you're growing in and how well you're dialed in.

i was planning on doing 1 400 watt, as a hps/mh combination, like i switch them for veggin and flowering state, not two different ones.

and really? inly 4-8 ounces? someone told me i could porbly get like 3oz per plant, thats wrnog then?

Well, based on what I said, you could get 3oz per plant, but you'd only have two plants.

At the end of the day, your yield is (holding everything else constant) pretty correlated with the size of your light, so say that you'll get about 6oz off a 400 (if you know what you're doing).

That means that you can have 12 plants that will give you a half ounce each or 1 plant that will give you six ounces or any combination therein.

Not to be a dick, but I don't think there's much more to add to what I said, and that most people are recognizing that.

You really need to do some research on your own to get an idea of what you're trying to do before you're able to ask any questions that anyone could realistically answer for you.

Good luck.
