I love it when the holier than thou posters show up to extend their self-righteousness to others that are less experienced. It's a huge help.
It's not being holier than thou. It's about informing people that they're paying 100X for chemicals anyone can buy. I stated what's in it and an alternative that would cost pennies on the dollar. Cannabis nutrient companies are not inventing anything special. They're just mixing up the same chemicals that have been used in fertilizers for decades and in some cases hundreds of years. Why are those relatively inexpensive ingredients worth so much more because they come in a bottle that says Advanced Nutrients? Jacks or Masterblend will grow as good of weed as Advanced Nutrients for a fraction of the cost and they don't play games leaving stuff out so they can sell you another dozen products.

This is nothing compared to what I see around here but for me, it's a big leap forward. I made some other mistakes since flowering so these buds should be quite a bit bigger than they are, but I can tell a massive difference, using AN products

I appreciate how quickly you posted the picture!! However you gotta post pictures under white lighting if you want people to be able to help. Seeing signs from the plant is much harder under the purple glow.

Improving over your last grow is awesome congrats! I would give all the credit to you as the grower though, not to the AN nutrients.

For the most part nutrients are nutrients are nutrients it doesn’t matter what picture is on the label it only matters what ions are in the mix. You can get the same stuff that is in the AN bottle from lots of places cheaper.

So the key isn’t in the bottle....it’s in your ability to identify an issue with the plants or identify that a plant has more potential. Then feeding what the plant needs to grow healthy.

More nutrients/special nutrients do not equal bigger buds.

Thanks for caring so much about the spending habits of others.

It's not so much that I care. I'm just amazed people are so willing to part with their money so easily for something they don't need. I offered a more inexpensive option. Feeding cannabis is not rocket science. It's no more difficult to grow cannabis than it is a tomato yet you don't see people going through all this cannabis nutrient nonsense to feed a tomato. Oh wait, the cartoon character on the Overdrive label is a tomato. Too funny.

Cannabis is a plant. Pretend it's growing in your garden and treat it like the rest of the vegetables and it will thrive.

It contains "never-before-used combination of vitamins" LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL which your plants is producing in a abundance by itself, It contains Amino Acids; see previous answer and has a NPK ratio of 1-5-4 which is pretty useless AKA snake oil
Funny as fuck.

The OP thinks that is the nutz so leave him be.

Besides, most are telling him that he is wasting his money on shit but he'll only listen to what he wants to hear and all the others are pricks and assholes I think he called us was it.

So funny. His bud look as airy as fuck to me for all them weeks in flower using his magic potion..........magic smadgic!!!!!!!

Idiot

The OP was specifically asking about his/her early use of Overdrive and wasn't asking about alternatives to Overdrive. Thread unwatched.

Exactly and the answers were provided. He said his plants could take more so fire away he has with gusto on them airy buds.

He got the answers and some got his shit as fuck attitude by calling us assholes and pricks.

Nah...fuck that.

Exactly, introduce this nonsense additive to a perfectly dialed plant and it does far more harm than it ever will good but I have a feeling OP is on a mission to find this out by themselves.

A decent base is really all that's needed, understand how a plant ticks and all that it needs is 16 simple basic nutrient elements that is found in most decent base A + B nutrients, I have very soft tap water of 20ppm so I need calmag supplemented or I get rusty spots and also some LED need calcium in flower too due to a certain nano-meter in the red spectrum during flowering and other than that to see great difference then you would need to go down the road of plant growth regulators which most is banned for a very good reason.

I don't get the angst either. The OP didn't ask for nutrient regimens. Didn't ask for condescending opinions on the nutes he's already purchased and is using.
AN base nutes work just as well as any other base. Are they overpriced? Of course they are, just as everything is thats related to cannabis growing.

Some of you might think you're helping but the finger wagging actually causes defenses to go up and pushes people away from your point.

I guess I don't get how very simple direct questions by new growers opens the door for soooo much flexing.

Ok thanks for the response the ppm of my water is about 300ppm RO aint a option the other half claims i take up enough space with this as it is been growing a few years now but still learning and greatful for the words of wisdom that get passed down been running AN nutes for a while and yeah they cost more than others but its been working for me just not sure which other brand to swap them out for ?

As I said, the only liquid nute I use is specifically for growing cannabis and its cheap as fuck even at their dosage let alone my dosage which is only 1ml per ltr.

Then the only other thing I use is Ecothrive Charge Granules in their soil when potting up to final pots.

I use ONLY these 2, Charge when potting up and no more then 1ml per of BT Organicus all in one throughout until a week before chop. Veg and bloom. Easy.

No expense feed for me although I am using cannabis specific feed.

I don't think I can better my harvests by using the expensive shit but I have tried countless over the decades.

I think I am regularly near 1gpw under HPS which I think is good. Jars are always full anyway.

It's all BS.

sooooo again out of curiosity and seeing the price of buddhas tree would you recommend using in rdwc i see it is ok in hydro and the added benefit of being a one bottle feed(always trying to save space) could you or would you advise any bloom additives or would you suggest just a base nute run to see how i get on with this it says on the site a little citric acid aids performance so chuck a little lemon juice in with it ?? thanks

I'm not sure what that has to do with my response or the OPs question but if you found something that works for you, great.

If you don't use Bud Candy, Bud Factor X, Bud Ignitor, Big Bud, B52, Tarantula, Nirvana, Overdrive, Piranha, Revive, Rhino Skin, Sensizym, VooDoo Juice, and Flawless finish you're not maximizing your grow.

Doesn't that list of products look ridiculous?

Well, this is the 2nd Blue Dream from Humboldt I have grown and the difference between using PH Perfect, B-52 and OD together has been absolutely amazing. No comparison to the health, density and size of these buds when held up to the previous plant.
Just keep doing what you're doing. When you think you're close to your harvest window you can back off and just give water until chop.

Its more important to learn about CEC. Feed charts, regardless of brand, are just a general guide and more for marketing than anything else.
Use your PPM/EC to guide you and take the time to understand your elements and what they do.

And as I previously stated, as long as they're complete, ANY base works. If you're looking for a decent affordable feed, Mega crop gets a lot of love.
Check out those threads for more info.
