lol. i got one of those hanging from the pole to circulate and 2 6" fans blowing on the plants themselves...still hanging around 93 degrees. so I'm definitely thinking of moving it to a box with 2 intakes and one exhaust....atleast it will help keep some fresh air in there and hopefully be able to cool down better. ya think?

i used m.g organic to start out with..it retains quite alot of water..i use all perlite now.. but you can get that at homedepot/lowes for like 5 bucks per 8qt bag..aint rele that expensive..mix that in with your soil to give it some aeration and itl help neutralize the p.h level in your soil

that's what they're in now. well the MG Potting Mix not the Organic...but I got some Fafard 4P that I'm going to be transplanting them into. So atleast I can add my own nutes to that with no worries of killing them. I already got the wood I need for the box so now I'll just be building it whenever I get home. I'll post some pics tonight so you people can give me some pointers.

DAMN, ..93...LOL, At least im not the only one:wall:. Ive constucted my pc case fan out of using a 12v adapter and a PC fan but have yet to find the tools i need to cut a 3" hole in my closet then add a black DIY Carbon scrubber. I leave the door cracked durin most of the ON cycle...24/0 was a bitch:?....the higest its gotten is 96!! in my closet. It stays about 83-86 with door cracked. hopefully the fan can keep it at 85 or less with the door closed.

It's good to hear plants can spend some time in 90+ temps and not be completely destroyed. lol. But I dunno man, I'd say look for a 6" fan, those seem to put out alot more air than a PC fan. And you can find them for about 5 bucks...except it's winter so that might be a bit of a task.

Side note:
I got my box built! took a good 5 hours and an extra 25 bucks but it's done. I'll be adding pics sometime soon...i'll probably be noodling with it as I go, adding more lights/fan etc. but the good news is I got the temps down to about 81-83! Might've done a bit of overkill on the overall size, but hopefully it'll get the job done.

Posting some pics of the box. I think I'll end up adding one more intake and exhaust fan. The box if pretty huge, about 4w x 4h x 2 d...but at least it gives me enough room to add a few more lights after I get the heat under control. The temps are staying right around 80-86 near the lights, but today is the first day I hooked up the vent tube to help pull more hot air out so maybe it'll cool down after the lights go out and then stay cooler tomorrow.

The plants look better though, they're roughly 9 days old so hope they start getting bigger soon. Whens a good time to transplant them? about 14 more days or so? Anyway, feedback would be appreciated.:bigjoint:

Well, day 10, have my box built and the exhaust/intake fans are only keeping the box around 84-86...which is survivable but I def want the temps down another 5-10 degrees so I'm going to be ordering 2 Honeywell HT804 Super Turbo High Performance Fans to throw in the side and top for another intake/exhaust...anyone think I'll be able to drop my temps with 2 of these?

Sup, Mud, happy new year. thats great u got ur temps down. i finally got my fan and duct ghetto installed. It helps keeps temps in the 80-85 range for about 7 hours starting at lights on. After about 7 hours temps climb again. But im in 12/12 and im not really concerened at this point. BTW, After 13 days of 12/12, all 4 of my plants are females:weed:. the two that veged 21 days are showing pistils on tope colas, the other 2 have pistils on ALL budsites.

congrats on the ladies man! I was wondering if anyone was reading this still, hadn't heard from anyone in a few days, lol. keep me updated on your grow man for sure!

I just did an updated rigging on the intake which is purely ghetto-fied. I ran some duct work from the box to the room door so it's sucking in alot cooler air (no central AC) but it's got temps at about 85 degrees directly underneath the lights (is that a good temp for 3" away from the lights?) and that's with out running the window shaker that's in the living room.

Humidity is right around 50 sometimes less... I should probably post some pics of it, it's def. not stealth at all.

Allright, here's some pics of my box as well as plant A. I just found 2 sets of nodes on her(fingers crossed). It's only about 11 days old so is that right on track or early? Plant B is doing fine. It's a little shorter and a little bit behind in it's development but it's looking good. The temps are about 85 degrees directly underneath the light and the RH is hanging around 50%. Let me know what you guys think of this setup. any changes, etc...
