Sprout Problems

Hi, I need some help with my sprouts. They don't seem to be doing too good.

2 Blue Moonshine Femenized (Dutch Passion)
2 Strawberry Cough Femenized (Dutch Passion)
2 White Widow Feminized (Dutch Passion)
3 Mazar Standard (Dutch Passion)

Soaked in tap water plus SuperThive for 20 hours until they started to crack then placed between wet paper towels until tap roots were showing. Planted between 1/4" - 1/2" deep. Have them under a 600watt metal halide at 30" (started at 46" and slowly moved it down over past few days) Ph of the water was off for a few days because I didn't have a test kit. On the second day I got a test kit of it was at 8.0 so I adjusted it down to 6.4 and have been watering with that plus a few drops of SuperThive since then. Soil Ph is at 6.5 and temperature at soil level is at 79.7 right now. Temperature fluctuates between 74.0 - 84.0. I havn't been seeing much growth from the ones that sprouted.

Plants havn't done much for past few days. Some sprouts have been sitting with their leaves most of the way closed for the past 2 days. Some leaves turned very light green on the tips then slowly turned to brown. Did the 8.0 Ph for the first 2 days fuck them up or is there some kind of deficiency. BTW i'm using SuperSoil brand potting mix with a few bags of perlite mixed in.

I'm trying to uplaod pictures but it keeps saying some security token is missing...:wall:

What is causing the tips of the leaves on the Blue Moonshine and WW to turn brown? Also is this average for day 7 or should they be bigger?

you need to get your PH level down to 5.6-6.0 looks as if you have a nute lock going on do this as soon as you can. some look too far gone now but the may recover if you move fast. Just give them the PH ajusted water for two weeks your soil has all the nutes your seedlings need for now..Good luck!

^ holy hell.. you're on day seven?
my plant was that size at day 2 or 3..
your plants should be WAY bigger..
you're even using better lighting than me..

CHECK OUT THIS LINK

^ shows my plant at day seven..

& look at the attached pictures..
that's my plant right now..
she's on day eleven right now..
the pictures were taken first thing when lights came on..

what soil are you using?
i don't see what could be your problem..
i'm growing in temps as high as 95F
& if i'm lucky 88F, but plants are all different..

hope someone helps you out with your problem..
because i don't know what's wrong.. good luck my friend :D

Damn nice girl you got there. I'm using SuperSoil brand potting mix it has a good nuetral ph and doesn't have alot of nutes to burn. Drains really well with the perlite so it's not overwatering. I'm hopnig adjusting the water ph helps.

Yeah I'm hopnig the light intensity of the MH isn't fuking them up. It's not close to them though and there is two oscillating fans. I adjusted the water pH to 6.0 and flushed them really well with it ealier I'm hoping they pull through.

thanks man :D

i haven't heard/seen that soil before..
but it does sound pretty decent..

yeah, most definitely watch the pH..
i only water with bottled waters..
from Dear Park & Dasani..
i haven't had any problems with those..
what kind of water do you use?
tap/distilled/bottled?

hopefully you get your problems fixed..
& good luck with your grow man :D

the light shouldn't be bothering your plant..
if it was the leaves would be burnt or disfigured & or discolored..

50% distilled and 50% tap. I think somebody may have poisoned my watersupply though because the resevoir I hold the tap in to evaporate the clorine smelled really strong of chemicals today when i went to adjust the ph of the water. Smelled like bleach. I just dumped the resevoir and refileld it and just flushed my plants with tap then a flush with 6.0 ph bottled water. Would bleach poisoning stunt the growth like that?

Outdoor grows before we sued the same soil and just tap water with no pH adjustments and had a great grow. having alot of trouble with 1st indoor grow.

id say stop with super thrive i never use that with the seedlings and thats probably what did it, you shouldnt use nutes or anything like that until they are bigger. and i use superthrive for my cloning solution and for cloning. (thats it)

if there was bleach, itd be dead btw nothing will survive something like that. its pretty toxic

If you ask me I'd say the preferted soil is the problem or possibly the super thrive.

If it were me I'd raise the light to 4 feet and just leave them alone. In my experience, messing with seedlings too much...ph, additives, etc, has always been completely unnecessary and a bad idea.
