Spring Flowering Bulbs

The daffodils have been the first to bloom in our area - so cheerful to see the bright yellows!
Last fall I cleared out one garden bed and replanted with bulbs, planning to later put in perennials when I found suitable ones. I was hoping the bulbs would all bloom at once, even though some were labelled 'early spring' and others 'late spring.'

The blooming daffs are 'Tete-a-Tete' about 8' tall - several flowers per bulb - really love these!

In back of them are assorted colors of Dutch Iris - the leaves are tall but no bloom stems yet; and some 'Mt. Hood' daffodils, also late bloomers. In front are Crocus - the purple ones are just starting to open and the whites not far behind. Some Grape Hyacinths are also starting to bloom.
In another area the 'Lady Jane' species tulips, Spanish Bluebells, and a type of wild iris are also up and looking vigorous - those will probably start blooming in a couple of weeks; it was so nice to see them come back for the third year in that almost neglected spot.(trà linh chi)
Another nice surprise was how well my blue Dutch Hyacinths have done - the bulbs have been in the same pots for three years and I move them into the 'crawl space' under the house (actually a 7'-8' ceiling) when the foliage dies down - it's fairly cool there all summer. I didn't expect much from them since they don't get real winter chill.

Two pots of these are near our front door and their fragrance is a nice welcome.

What's blooming, or not yet blooming, for you ?

Love the hyacinth. Have some blooming also. Also have crocus and daffs flowering as well. Few tulips are starting to bud.
