Spotty Problem

I'm a first time grower who has trawled this board for knowledge over the last few months (thank you all who have helped without knowing!), the big day is not far off now but I have a problem... Feck!

My plant now 48 days into flower has developed brown spots all over the leaves while i've been away... on the worst affected leaves the spots have joined together, the leaf yellowed and become so brittle that i can crumble it in my hand... about 50% of leaves are affected to varying degrees but most seem to be a bit droopy... That being said the buds are maturing fine and I expect to harvest in a couple of weeks.

As I said i'm a first timer and not sure what move I should make... I fed it some epsom salts today as I thought I may have a mag def.

Sould I try to fix it or leave it to finish off? could the deficency at this late stage ruin the crop?? should I have chopped it already and be thinking myself lucky that I still have a bit green??

I really don't know... I've done well up to now and expect a nice little harvest but i'm stumped on this one so all help would be appreciated :joint:View attachment 967664View attachment 967666View attachment 967664View attachment 967678View attachment 967679

By the way... i'm growing in soil, feeding canna terra flores nutes, molasses and occasional dose of seaweed.

Ph is fine at around 6.5-7..

the temps did get a little high for a few days but now they are spot on.. its under a 250w hps and 300w cfl

would the plant be naturally dieing of spottiness cos its old?

the spots seem to just multiply and join together leaving the leaf crumbly to the point where it can almost be powdered...

calcium deficiency. Gives the leaves lots of small yellow freckle-like spots that look very similar to spider mite damage. I can show you my leaves if you want, look just like yours. I corrected this with calmag but be careful because a lot (most) of calmag products contain nitrogen and you dont want that since your in flowering. The spots dont go away but they stop spreading pretty much completely

Heres a good example: see all the freckles? If it progressed any further the end of the leaf would start turning yellow at the edges and your tips curl and burn. Growth is stunted and stems are weak and easily bend since they dont have enough calcium to form strong cell walls.

something to consider: some people swear that if you strip the entire plant of all its leaves and leave just the buds for the last week it will boost trichome production. If a plant can hold its own for a week under that kind of stress I dont see how a nutrient deficiency 2 weeks away from harvest should be a huge deal. Potency and bud size might suffer a little bit, Im not sure but I think you should be ok.

Wow! Cheers mate.. thanks for going to the trouble of scanning a leaf... that looks exactly like some of my leaves...

i'm not sure how the rep thing works but if it is just by typing +rep or something then...
