Hey I had a post a little while back and someone let me know it looks like signs of PH Fluctuation issues. So I recently flushed my hydro with sledgehammer for 30minutes and then replaced with fresh nutrients. Woke up this morning with some more spots. PH when I went to sleep was 5.8 and woke up to 6.3 so I don't know whats going on if it is ph fluc. Could someone help?

IMO, that sure does look like pH fluctuations. Good thing you flushed.

That being said, the damage that was done will not get better. Since the newer growth appears to be better, I would assume the one spot was residual and the problem has been corrected. Keep an eye on it and send in new pics if the problem continues. I'm sure others will have other opinions.

how long after flush should I stop seeing new spots? I woke up this morning to some new ones.

How much cal-mag? I'm in a hydro set up aerogarden led
Whatever you think a normal dose would be, you decide. Or read the feed chart and start with the smallest dose. But I'm almost 100% that that is a calmag problem. I don't see twisting and spindling leaves, so this leads me to believe it isn't a pH problem. 5.8-6.3 is fine, you shouldn't have many problems within that range.

Okay so that's not a big jump? Also does it matter i'm using tap water?

It's sort of a big jump, but as long as it doesn't get too far off from where it should be, you're fine. Just keep checking it, once when you wake up, once before you go to bed. And do you let your water sit out for 24 hrs before putting it in the res.? It takes about 24 hrs for all the chlorine to dissipate. Chlorine is toxic to organic.

I believe I have it close to 24 hours. So basically use bottle water?

Okay. Hopefully it corrects it self since I flushed yesterday.

anyone know proper instructions for sledgehammer usage?

From the pics it seems that your plant is deficient of calcium. If using bottled water then this would explain the deficiency as bottled water typically has these elements removed. Adding Cal-Mag should help alleviate this deficiency.

It wont hurt it. It needs it by the looks of it. ;) I try & add a touch to my regular nutrients regimen to try & prevent shit like this. Good you noticed it before it got later in the deficiency.
