I didn't like the hand held vapir when my friend let me use his. It's okay, it's just clunky and I don't care for the disk system it uses. However, I only got to test the Vapir One 5.0. Not the newest model.

The Volcano is good, but IMO, the Extreme Vape is a way better value. It's what I currently own now. You can use a bag just like the Volcano, but you can also use a whip. I also like that the mouse piece on the Extreme is glass, not plastic like with the Volcano. It also comes with a remote, has a built in timer, and lots of little accessories like an aroma bowl for 'essential oils.' It uses a ceramic heater just like the Volcano and also has digital controls.

Eventually the bags and whip will need to be replaced. With the Extreme Vape, you just use XL Oven Turkey Bags. The tubing you can get at Home Depot for $3-$5 for 12'. It's the exact same food grade quality kind too.

I've had mine since Jan 09 and it's still runs great under heavy daily use. It's outlasted three glass bongs, and two other vapes that I've had. If mine ever breaks I'm buying another one the next day. It's that good.

Oh man, I just bought an iolite! Haven't tried it out yet - hope it doesn't suck. I was looking for something portable. I've been using the Arizer Extreme with no complaints for about 3 years.

As far as forced air... all I have tried is the volcano. I only bring it out when I have a crowd over... which isn't often.

I use the Buddha Vaporizer daily though. It is solid, unbreakable. ceramic heating element. precise control for the exact temp you desire. Works great. $180.

well you can spend big bucks on a good one, or just make your own. check the diy section or use the search function. i read of one guy using a heatgun to make his own and it works good.

The Buddha is sweet. I assume anyway, I sprung for Buddha's big brother the silver surfer. For portable I like my flightbox better than my iolite, which crapped out quick. I'm sure it can be brought back to life with a bit of work and better butane, but i like the flightbox better anyway.
the way you hit on the whip type vapes as well as the flightbox is critical if you are going to get a good hit. slow and steady wins the race is my advise :eyesmoke: Be careful though: I have managed to ignite the weed in both the flightbox and the SS by taking too long and slow of hits. ;-)

One try at filling the iolite and I realized it was not for me (super expensive butane everywhere, ugh). I returned my iolite a couple of weeks ago and got a flightbox. I love it but I don't feel that it processes my material anywhere near as well as my arizer extreme. I go slow but I have to admit, I'm afraid to hold the battery in for more than 10 seconds. Any tips?

i had the noble vp-120, has a bigger looking whip than the one in the above pictutre but is a simple square design. i think it went down in price. i dont use mine causse the volcano digi definately trumps it

If you didn't like the iolite that means you're normal.

I want to throw it out there that people should be carefull vaping. I used a volcano not realizing it was set to the highest setting until the bag was almost full. I didn't want to waste the herb so I choked it down thinking it wouldn't be a problem. Turns out since vapour expands in the lungs it was just too harsh and it gave me some breathing issues for a little while. People should vape at 365F or even lower to be safe IMO. I would also stick to high quality vaporizers. Never use one made in china.

If your vaping oil or full melts get yourself the omicron. It hold approx. 1 gram and gives you 400 hits per. Just got one the other day and love it! Check it out. Must have for BHO fans.
