Splitting Ie Stabbing Plant Before Harvest

I split the stalk on a plant last week and put wood pieces in the hole to keep it open. I read about this and watched a youtube video. I figured wtf going to pull it in a few days lets see if this works. Three things, the buds are frosty as I have ever seen, the odor is the strongest I have ever had and the trichs, viewed through scope, are also the best I have ever grown.

Might be something to this for sure, I did it, the plant is still very much alive and going crazy

Power of suggestion is an amazing thing. Seems to absolutely thrive around here. Splitting the stalk of a plant is 100 times more traumatic to the grower than the plant...the xylem and phloem tend to run parallel to the stalk so very little trauma and shock are actually induced in the plant when split. Unless you decide to just rip it in half....

I made a 4 inch cut, turned knife, inserted some old branches I keep and took knife out. Seems to be working just fine,

could affect hormones, released causing/during stress, perhaps more glandular action in an effort to survive. plants are really smart, so it could be biological response to cover open wounds that molds and fungus could get in.

using the same genes, take two plants performing about equally in growth, split one, use the other as control.
