SpiderMite Idenification Question

How big are spider mites. Can you see them easily with the naked eye? I just start a grow 2 weeks ago and the light is covered with webs and these little white spider things. But the are not mircroscopic. You can see them with the naked eye from 6 feet away if you looked hard enough. Do spider mites get this big?????

Here is a picture of the spider mites and eggs:

Here is what serious spider mite damage looks like:

Also, it wouldn't be terribly easy to see a spider mite from 6 feet. Do you have any pictures you could show?

From what I have read and seen they definitely live on the plants.

If there are webs on the lights then it is probably just regular spiders hanging out eating the bugs that want to get your plant. If you see some webs on your plants and munched leaves then you know you have spidermites. If there are no webs and munches then you got something else. I know for sure the webs and munches go together to equal spidermites.

Also judging from that pic you can see that spidermites are very small and they look like ticks. If those guys look like regular spiders then no worries.

I don't have picks right now. I will get some pics later this week. But they are big enough that you can count their legs with the naked eye without squinting. The plants are just baby seedlings nothing for them to really get on yet really.
