spider webs!

damn spider mites almost killed my plants! i sprayed my 3 big ladies with a basic insecticide meant to kill a variety of pests including spider mites. ive sprayed them every second day for like a week now. i just want them to go away :( lol.
i know i will probably be dealing with them until spring, then i can rinse the plants with a hose upside down really well, but they are inside, so what can i do in the mean time??
ps, i dont want to spend 150 dollars for a small bottle of azamax!

neem oil,,,thats what i use for spidermites,,its not a contact killer but works to kill them when used every 3-5 days for say 5 times at most.....it kills the larva and moms and dads when they eat it,,nice and slow...
einstien oil is one brand thats well recommended. just make sure its cold pressed neem,,as the heated stuff dosnt have the active ingredent. I use about 5ml into a litre of water. a drop of dish soap into the bottle first helps emulsify the oil and helps it mix into the warm water..
neem is great,,it is systemic though so should be avoided 2 before harvest. just remember to agitate the mix while applying to insure the neem stays dissloved and remember to spay both sides of leaves. if the plants look bad that eve you can wash off with water. I also use it as a soil drench,,this ensures the neem is in the plant..the idea is for the bugs to eat the neem and it then fucks them up,,stops um repoducing and delvoping from larva.,,and fucks up the bastards stomaches.. I feel your pain with the dreaded spider mite!! if the neem dosnt work after the first 5 applies then switch to a nicotine spray(homemade..soak rolling bacci,,not premade ciggies,,overnight and then like with neem, a drop of dish soap and dilute about 2 ml to a litre.) switching stops the mites from becoming immune but from my exp. neem works on its own. also mind wash the nico spray(if you use it) the same day,,maybe give it 5 hrs to let the mites eat the stuff.

I wish you the best of luck..:leaf:

iF USING LADY BUGS RELEASE THEM AT NIGHT,,cause they will fly( not all but most) into the HID light and fry!!!!! so night realse for maxium effect,,also lady bugs will never eliminate all spider mites if the infestion is quite large(eg when you can see lots of webs or actually see lots of them),and if you have sprayed any insectisides it could kill the lady bugs....

Keep up the spraying, neem if thats all you have but a stronger spray will really help. you should be able to find a 4 oz bottle of azamax for $25. Like bunnyface said, be sure to change your sprays regularly so the mites dont develope immunity. remember cold temps slow down their metabolism making them easier to control. i always laugh when people recommend ladybugs for indoor grows. dont they swarm your house? besides the fact that they are attracted to light and fly into the lamps killing themselves, how do you get them out of the grow room once they have done their job? or do you sentence them to die by cannibalism and starvation?

thanks for the input everyone. i dunno where to find the small bottle of azamax, that stuff is apparently the shit though.
ive bought 2 different types of insecticide, so ill use the other stuff in the next couple days. thanks again.

wow,,i would go with neem oil first, also if your worried about being organic neem is a plant extract,,and the bee knees for killing the mites...,ladybugs if its a very small infestions,,and the day after you realease them you will have to get more...as they will all be dead...maybe one or two rambo style ones will survive...good luck though,

what insecticides did you buy? some stay in the plants system for a long time and shouldn't be used together. (Dont ever use Sevin and Copper Soap on the same plant!)

neem is systemic(stays in a plants system) and can be used and is used for that reason, so the bugs eat it at some point,,thats why it works,,just do not use two week(id say 3 weeks) before harvest as it will leave a funny taste..

azatrol 30 dollars for a bottle enough to mix at least 10 gallons. a gallon in a spayer goes far. soak the leaves underneath especially and the top. pay close attention to the bottom of plant and under those leaves. apply once and then every 7 to 10 days even if u dont see any mites. its better to avoid them than have to deal with piles of them cause once they lay egg sacks its hard to get rid of them and they can ruin a plant quick
