ok, so my old man is trying to grow some plants, they are about 4 weeks into flower and starting to get some good bud develoment going, he came out one day to find spiders had layed some webs down in his plants, he didnt really think nothing of it but now a bunch of the buds turned a really ugly brown color and look like shit. has anyone experienced anything like this before?

ill take my cam over there and get a couple pics to post, he really needs some help or his plants are going to be junk.

there spider mites, and they suck. get some azamax, and mighty wash. alternate spraying the 2 about every 4-5 days
If you look under the leaves, you will see little black dots, if you look closely, they will move, those are the spider mites. Also when tou spray get under the leaves good, this is where they live.

Neem would be my suggestion, has to be applied twice though...a lot of people just hit plants once and forget the second app. Then they complain it doesn't work...lol

There is a great product called Rose Rx, 100% organic, contains neem oil and it a three way zap, pesticide, anti-mold etc... Been using to fight spider mites and powdery mildew with fantastic results. Just about any floral or gardening shop should carry it.

Sounds like mites, but the 'browming of the buds tells me there's rot going on. Have you looked for caterpillars? Very common this time of year, and they will cause your buds to rot. Sounds like dad has his hands full.....good luck.
Spray with BT to get rid of the caterpillars.

This is what I think happened....
I see no mites either, I think the whole plant got wet, either rained on or watered on. Maybe he watered the whole plant, buds and all, thinking it was a good thing to do. That's all I can think of, the vegetation looks good.....dunno.
Good luck...

i told him to mist with some 10-52-10 i gave him he must have taken "mist" the wrong way. it has been wet here too and i have been misting mine with same stuff, havent been soaking them but just some sprays out a regualr squirt bottle. dunno, like i said too he had some spiders (not spider mites just reg spiders) laying some webs down on his buds, maybe the webs held the moisture in?

also he has some leaf deformitys (sets of 3 leaf instead of 5) does this mean he had em start flowering early and put em back into veg, he moved them alot during the summer in and out of the house.

thanks for all the helpful infor guys.
