I go to look at my girl today and i notice some yellowish spots on the lower leaves so I look it up and sure enough I see spider mites (around 10 that i could see) on the bottom leaves. I have researched many solutions and it seems since I am in the 4th week of flowering they may be difficult to get rid of. If anyone has any advice for me that would be great! Please Help!

Ouch, that's rough being that you are 4 weeks in!! How much of the plant/s are affected already? Neem oil might be safe to use at this point but it's pushing it since it has a terrible flavor and odor and you are 4 weeks into flowerng. It will ruin the final product if applied too late into it. I've heard of people using coriander oil, even then you'll want to avoid the buds. Best bet is to cut any fan leaves that are affected and pitch them FAR from your operation. Increase the the air circulation and drop the temps a bit, maybe add some humidity. Remove any webs you see with a vaccum. You can wipe the undersides of the leaves with water (not during lighting wait till your dark cycle)

I also read of peole using pyrethrin bombs but I'm always leary of stuff like that.

EDIT: After harvest be sure to disinfect the are before growing again. You can safely use neem oil then and pyrethrin bombs set about 2-3 days apart. Clean ALL equipment good! Those little fuckers are hard to get rid of.

Ok, They are only towards the bottom of the plant but you can tell they are working their way up so we need to get rid of them soon. I have heard about using Avid insecticide because it has a different formula then most insecticides and it can be used during flowering. any advice on that? the good thing is they are at the bottom right now and my plant is about 6 feet tall so the top part of the plant still look healthy.

Any of the Neem oil based sprays you can get will be fine, it'll say neem oil on the front or back somewhere. You only want the sprays that say safe for vegetables up until day of harvest and still don't do it the last week so you don't get so much of the taste. The spray I'm using now says it's effective for bugs, mold, and something else. Powdery mildew is listed on the front. That might be nice if you are in a setup where that might be a concern. I can't get at the bottle right now the plants are sleeping or I'd give you the name.

You will not be able to get rid of them until after the plant is done but you will be able to keep them under control with the neem spray and then you can use a toxic fogger when the room is clear and plants are all done. Sometimes it takes a few foggers a week or so apart. Then keep on spraying the neem for a couple more weeks on the new stuff you put in there to be sure you got them all.

Put some regular 3% H2O2 in a spray bottle, and spray your plant. 20 min. later, go back and wipe your leaves off. Might have to do this once a day for a couple of days, but it definitely works. Give it a shot

Would something like this be ok for my plant this late in flowering?Gardening Things: Organica® K+ Neem

Today we removed some of the bottom stem with the most spider mites because they had no buds on them anyway. We also went to the local grow shop and the lady told me I could use PCO fogger in the closet and it wouldnt harm the plant. We purchased the fogger. Would this be ok to use right now? I will keep the updates coming so that we can save my baby!

Regular, everyday peroxide would be much cheaper, and seems like it would be a lot less chemicals going on your plant. Sometimes simpler is better.

ok, today we took everything out of the room and cleaned it all and then fogged the room. We realized that we need to get rid of them because they were making their way up and actually killed a couple of the buds. So i will let everyone know how that works out and if anyone has had a bad experience with this let me know!

If you're using regular, everyday peroxide (3%), that you can buy at mostly any drugstore, and not the heavy duty, commercial strength stuff, you don't have to dilute it with water. Pour it in a spray bottle, and handle your biz.
