HEY dbkick . REMEMBER WHEN YOU SAID THIS ABOUT MIGHTYWASH? Now I see how you discovered it works. I wanna get some

  • that stuffs made for washing shit off that you sprayed on a few days before, water alone will kill mites,I don't know how many times I've got to say it , it doesn't really matter wtf you spray its how you spray it, get a atomist some purespray green, it takes very very little (which is 98 percent petroleum oil, I don't buy 99 percent h2o), use the purespray green , a couple days later spray with a surfactant and nothing but water( this will wash probably as well as your 99 percent h2o wash product, if not just put a drop of dawn in, what the hell)................it doesn't really matter wtf you spray its how you spray it..........it doesn't really matter wtf you spray its how you spray it.....

I most certainly do remember that, I had mistaken power wash for mighty wash, two different products. the power wash I have no use for. I still use purespray green every now and then, I had just bought a gallon back then and I have left oh....just about a gallon, lifetime supply.

I wouldn't steer you wrong intentionally man, if I say something works its because I've used it more than once and it does in fact work, and if it works well I certainly promote it when I can. I've recently found a root aphid or two and just earlier today paid 180 bux for a liter of pyganic. I'm tired of these pests and will eradicate them in my grow. mites I kinda believe you'll always have one or two so I didn't really buy the pyganic for that, so I'm doing soil drench with that, I'll still use mighty wash in flower but I'm going to try some serious systemics like bayer tree and shrub very early in veg. I was reading earlier on another forum that a soil drench of mighty wash also takes care of root aphids but I didn't want to spend the money on 5 gallons to find out , the pyganic is made for it and is totally organic. The active ingredient is made from chrysanthemum and is gone without a residue in 12 hours.

I will say this, every time I have to buy a gallon of mighty wash it does hurt a bit, 38 dollars isn't cheap. The purespray green on the other hand is dirt cheap to use, as is neem I'm sure although not as cheap as the purespray, the only form of neem I've used has been in azamax and it was in hydro and not foliar. I know people that have used neem and like it for a few but then some end up saying they'll never use that shit again. would be fine in veg or early flower I'm sure. hell how long has it been being used? a long fucking time. but it comes down to personal preference I guess. Those that like neem may not have tried mighty wash. That Stuff has certainly caused a stir though.

I got root aphids last round (my first time growing and with a horrible partner). Bayer tree and shrub works great....

was looking at some Mallet at the hydro shop, its got the same active ingredient that bayer tree and shrub does but more of it, hell of a lot more coin for the Mallet though.

dbkick you dont need anything stronger than bayer.. trust me. I had it so bad and that stuff wipes it out completely. Give it to em young and youll never get them in your cycle.

OK so what ive been doing is neeming and than spraying with RO water 12 hours later... but right now im gonna go hit the local stores and look for some mightywash (i wanted to say magicwash)

What do you think about more fans? good or would they just blow the little suckers everywhere in the forest?

plenty fans fine after the mighty wash to blow around the dried up exoskelton that appears to be left .I may try power wash one day too. I'm thinking I can wash anything off with straight water and maybe a couple drops of dawn though, haven't even priced the power wash or PM wash (that isn't a problem here .....yet, although the humidity has been up :|)
Bayer eh? what I'm wanting is a preventative , bayer I've heard won't work on spider mites but thats fine if its true. I have the bottle of pyganic but def will wait till I identify ANYTHING live in my res/media other than my huge ass plants with huge ass colas (if I ever get this again, back in hydro soon!) . I'll use whatever systemic, probably the bayer just up until flip . I was reading earlier a study on bayer used on tobacco . it was long and drawn out(not to mention above my head) but I think the conclusion was using the bayer on tobacco did leave a residue but it was very very small.

Hi, I'm kinda new here, (been lurking for a month or so while trying to figure out what was wrong with my login), but just Had to comment. I'm dealing with mites myself (it's my first grow, but my first grow has lasted over 6 months because of mites, powdery mildew and damping off...so I've become a bit of an expert on disease and pest issues). Since I got the mites back for a second go-around, I can safely say that the most important thing is to Repeat treatments regularly...and definitely use more than one type of treatment, as there are strains of mites that are resistant to certain pesticides/elimination methods. To help each grower to develop their own elimination strategy, it might help to understand the mechanism of action (in other words, how each method works). That way you can use products that have different mechanisms of action in order to kill any "supermites" that have developed a resistance to one method.

With the oil-based products, as was previously mentioned in this thread, the product suffocates the little b@$t@#d$. It does this by clogging the breathing holes they have on the sides of their bodies. Opposingly, the soap-based products, like mighty wash, strip the mites of a waxy/oily cuticle which is their natural protection from the elements -- so the mites die of dehydration in this case. (So now you see, it would be a bad idea to use an oil based product immediately before a soap based one -- you would effectively be washing the oil-based product off with the soap. You would end up with really clean, shiny mites..but they'd probably still be alive. (This also tells you that you can probably use any decent, pH balanced soap, and you will get the same results as you would using the expensive product).

One of the things that really motivated me to speak up, though, is the ladybug issue -- DON'T use ladybugs on plants you have recently treated with pesticides. They will die before they eat a single mite, and you'll feel bad.

Oh, yeah, and the Real Reason I had to comment....my partner brought mites in too...he's definitely been a contributing factor in causing my first grow to take so long ....Partners Do Suck....

So. Ive used mightywash. expensive though for my landscape. OK so right now its looking good. I see a few here and there on random spots... I think my fans blow them around. But it is very minimal as far as I can see. I know if I stop spraying though they will come back. Going for another spray tomorrow morning. Freaking Mightywash is expensive.
