What's up everyone?

I'm back with my second grow log here on Rollitup. This time it's TGA's Cheese Quake, which I'll be growing Super Soil style under my 600 watt light.

I started them in wet paper towels, then planted them in some Happy Frog with a little extra worm castings, perlite, and a little dolomite lime.

I think that's about all I have to say about them for now. Check in for an update soon!

Been reading through Nugbuckets' Mainlining thread, and I'm sold... My CQ's will be mainlined for 8 heads each. This should be perfect for my 4x4 cab and it's low ceiling.

I think that you'll really enjoy it. I implemented it for my most recent grow. I still have a few kinks to work out next time around, but I am still impressed with height/stature/canopy level.

Excellent... Do you find the mainlining to delay preflowering? I know Nugbuckets said it adds about 10 days to his veg time, which is no big deal, but not sure how that affects the timing of preflower formation.

I can't really comment on that tbh. This was my first time growing from seed. well, I mean not first time ever, but I was like 16 years old growing bag seed in the backyard...didn't really know what was going on. I'm roughly 60 days into veg, and just got my little baby pre-flowers. I'm not sure if it's strain dependent or what. but this mainling tech does really keep the plants shorter for a much longer time. these are the preflowers that I just noticed and they are ~day 56 from popping their shell.

I don't have much seed experience either, but my Pandoras Box showed sex a little after 4 weeks of veg. I'm just wrestling with getting them sexed before planting in #7 pots (space constraints) while also giving them enough veg time in super soil without overgrowing my cab. My current round was only in super soil for 16 days before flipping to 12/12, and they outgrew my space...

I started growing my plants in supersoil from clone/seed from 1g then transplanted into 2g and then finally into 7g pots all with super soil. I wasn't sure which plant would turn out female at first. I know that this can be a waste of time and soil and space, but I dind't want to force flower. I know a lot of people like to force flower to determine sex. It just wasn't an option for me this time around. luckily they all turned out female anyway.

anyway, I really like the way that they grow in super soil from the start, and with the multiple transplants they are getting new soil every few weeks.

Back with a quick update. They seem stoked to me. One of them is flopping around quite a bit in the breeeze. I think I may have accidentally dropped the cracked seed in there upside down and the taproot had to do a loop-d-loop to orient itself properly. I loosely supported it with a little piece of wire, and it doesn't seem to be skipping a beat.

Quick update for the nerds... 8 of them are very uniform, two are a little special... One skipped from single-bladed leaves straight to 5-bladed leaves (pic included), and another has a couple blades fused together (no pic).

Anyone else seen a seedling skip from single to 5 bladed leaves? Cotyledon-->1 blade-->3 blade-->5 blade is normal as far as I know, but this one skipped the node with 3 bladed leaves... Any other CQ growers seen this?

Quick update. They're looking good to me. As soon as I harvest the Pandoras Box in my big cabinet, these babies will get transplanted to 2-gal smart pots full of Roots Organic and put under a 600 watt MH.
