Plants do all the work during dark hours

During light hours the plant is collecting all the light. Nutes. Water the need to use and night hours to survive.

So doing a 10/14 would grwatly reduce the plants energy so i would asdume that would hurt the bud. Like boom said it would stress the plant.

To speed up flowering by changing your light cycle go with 6 hours light and 12 dark, an 18 hour day. You get almost 3 x 18 hour days to every 2 x 24 hour days, You won't harvest quicker at quite that ration but you will harvest quicker. Some yield will be lost.

.

Other ways to speed harvest:
- more light
- low kelvin light (red)
- air pruning buckets

I'm going to do some experiments with far red light in the last hour of normal light and for 30 minutes after lights out to see if the emerson effect speeds flowering / increases yield / increases potency.
