Speed Queen: Male?

Quick question--I topped a Speed Queen (I grew it from seed), rooted it, put it outside a few days ago to flower for sex. I know that whatever the genetic makeup of my original plant will be the same as this clone.

Last year was my first grow--and I waited too long to cull out the males. of course, my early harvests were pretty seedy, but the plants I put out late were all girls. :blsmoke:

This year I want to get better at spotting the males as early as possible. In my mind, it's as easy as looking at humans--balls or no balls!

After spending so much time loving these plants and caring for them (sappy, I know), it's hard for me to cast them out of my garden without being totally sure. :-?

So what do you think? Is this Speed Queen male or female?

That's what I thought! Should have just gone with my first mind...

Hey, I'm not too late to pull it, am I? (on my way outside)

nope, you have about two weeks left before you're in danger of pollenation.

imo, give it four more days to be ABSOLUTELY SURE!!!

i've had afghans look like males and i chop them only to see hairs popping out of a calyx at the very top...

Better safe than sorry...so I removed the clone from the garden and its mother from the shed. Here's a few pics:

I took these pictures last night.
