Spectrum king (false)claims

"Spectrum King LED Grow Lights may LOOK like Chinese High Bays on the outside, but they’ve been totally redesigned internally to produce custom supercharged LED light fixtures that maximize your plant productivity."
LOL. It is a chinese ledlight (the outside) with apperantly a Cree chip(s) in it and a different driver. No big invention or something. People here can build this within one day with some equipment.

"Years of research in actual grow rooms has resulted in a light engine that features top shelf U.S. designed and manufactured components combined to produce a customized spectrum that mimics actual sunlight."
LOL..One day reading on this forum and you know it all.

Where does they say that they claim 58% efficiency? 58% is possible, with the right leds and driver.

-edit: supra beat me to it. XBD....Too bad. Why dont they use some CXB's?

But I dont get it. They want it the easy way...why use such crappy leds. Why not the CXB's. Are they stupid or something?

Even though i have built 6 single cxb3590 stand alone units, i am looking forward to some one mass producing them, hopefully in something like the kesil form

Sk gave me his part number one time. I just didn't save it and then sunny deleted all the good post in that thread. The XBD comes in R2, a bin higher than supras graph. but still is behind. Average performance chips from a quality manufacturer(cree). Great option for house lights.

Average components +shitty spread+idiot of an owner = IMG_5018.jpg

A fun thing to do is google "500w high bay led xbd"

Their spectrum is legit though, I'll give it to them there. But I have also been using 4000K, but with 30% more flux and a way better design.

The owner made that claim on the most recent episode of the dude grows show. I believe he was just spitting back numbers i had told those guys a few weeks ago i just wanted to see the actual spreadsheet for myself and thank you for that supra

I like what you did with the + and = signs.

They do have a beautiful site though.

Almost bought into these guys . Then found the same light on alibaba for 200 bux. Same old bullshit song and dance. Can't trust anyone these days. It's a shame. But I do love the DGC. Awesome potcast. You could build a cxb3590 light that will absolutely smash that light for the same price and actually achieve close to 58 percent efficiency. Their side by side looks rigged big time.
