Speaker Cab Closet Grow

image.jpg Hey guys it's been a while since I've used this site! I couldn't remember my old username and password so I started a new one lol. Anyways I'm under construction now of a new project and would like some tips/pointers to make sure I'm on the right track and all.
I had a few old speakers laying around with blown speakers in them and decided hey I'm gonna grow in that haha. It will be a cfl grow inside my closet and here's my setup::bigjoint:

I'm not sure why it out my first picture on top.... Anyways refer to my sketch... My plan is to have a diy carbon scrubber at the top right
Here is the link : https://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=86726

with 4" inline fan exhausting through 4" duct to my attic. Better safe than sorry. :)
2 2" intake holes at the bottom with pvc tubes with 90 degree elbows to prevent light leaks.
Only growing 2 plants at a time. Does it look like I have my bases covered? Any info/input like I said is much appreciated. Thank you

1 plant for sure in that space. 150-175 watts will be ideal with CFL. 2/3 2700-3500k, 1/3 6500k. 4" fan is crazy excessive, also so small no point in "venting" just use a small fan and DIY carbon filter.

Ok like a pc fan I'm assuming for exhaust?
I thought I read somewhere that pc fans werent powerful enough to pull air through a carbon filter? Do you know a link to a good diy carbon filter that this would work good with? The only reason I was going with the 4" inline was to make sure it could pull air through the filter . It's rated at 80cfm . And was gonna exhaust through a hole in ceiling to attic but any solution that's easier I'll gladly hear out! :)

That's pretty sweet I've never tried tying down like that! Is it easy to do? And I'll definitely give that a try! I plan on journaling my grow start to finish. So are all the autoflowers female? And what's a good beginner with low odor for my size box?

Dinafem makes good autos, World of seeds Afghan Kush Ryder and especially Sweet Seeds Speed Devil are easy to grow autos and female. Afghan Jush Ryder is the most potent.

The pic is just Low Stress Training LST. As the main stem grows just gently bend it over and tie in the holes you drilled in the pot. Keep doing it as long as it keeps trying to climb. Should increase yield also.

Awesome info man thanks a bunch! The only thing I still need is a good diy carbon scrubber ... Other guy said my 4" inline exhausting to attic was overkill which I kinda felt it was too lol. So I'm assuming just a pc fan exhaust? But I'd like to have carbon filter as well inside the box and I didn't think the pc fans were powerful enough for air flow? Can someone shed some light as to what I should do for my airflow?

You can get you a 120 V PC fan already has a regular plug on it. Kinda loud but pushes a lot of air for its size. 60-70 CFM. I've had it for years so probably something better out there.

Odor control I use an O3 generator. Study up, they work great but you have to size the room and not overload a living space with O3. You use it outside the cab to clean the air in the closet.

A 4 inch probably isn't major overkill tho. If you get like an inline fan or something with rated CFM to your space. I mean, I really don't think a 4 inch is overkill at all to tell you the truth. Just don't get something mega powerful.

This is what I picked up to use... I planned on using a diy carbon scrubber inside can to vent to this 4" online fan to dryer exhaust tubing through hole in ceiling vented out into attic... I know it sounds like a lot but I thought I'd rather be safe than sorry...? Thoughts?

That's not going to be that powerful bro. That's good for your space. As for the hole. Sounds like you know what you're doing and can figure it out. I once spent 100's of dollars trying to cut thick iron pipe with a saws all. Bad idea, but I got it done.

Then I wanted to mod a bike muffler. Requires 2.5" hole saw blades. I probably spent $50 or more replacing them. I was trying to cut through steel.

Steady hand? Drill and run a little jig saw? There has to be something out there somewhere that would cover any jags. I would do it at the top in the back.

Note that the filters will greatly reduce flow and noise, but still should be plenty of flow for your space.

I have one of what looks exactly like that controller, works fine, but I don't use because the filters put enough back pressure and you can't really hear it outside the space much.
