So i am thinking about buying smart pots for my next grow...
My question is: How much room/space is needed for 5-6 5 gallon smart pots?
To all growers using "Smart Pots"

Well that would be legnth x width? Like floor space it takes up?

If so, that many in that area will be to much once they start vegging.
they are done with veg and are on day 4 of bloom.
i have them in 2 gallon pots and all 7 are about 1 foot tall.
i was wondering if i had the floor space to fit 7 5 gallon pots.
and if you are wondering why the fuck i chose 5 gallon.... i just worked real hard for them and id hate for them to go root bound after all ive done (: plus big ass colas lol

You might have to floor space to fit that many pots but the problem you are going to run into is the plant diameters getting bigger than the pot diameters. So, even though the pots fit in that space, 7 plants may not depending on the structure of them.

well maybe my question should be..... how tall can a plant get before it is root bound?
or what size pots do i need for what size plant? Omg i just smoked some sugar leafs from last harvest and that last question might be me being slightly stoned...

I use the 5gal smart pots and have 4 of them in a 4x4 space with some LST and it is barely enough space. You gotta give the plant some space, to crowded isnt good for the circulation and light penetration.

You will have no room to train lol. When I started hydro I planted 6 in a 4x4 room and when I opened the curtain the plants would fall out. It was a jungle of branches and buds lol.

I'm confused. You've got 7 plants in a 2x3 space that are flowering and you're wanting to transplant them?

Right I see, you were asking about the pots on the next grow then you asked about transplanting to the bigger pots on your current grow.

Id think 2-3 5gallon pots would be more than enough in a 2x3 space on your next grow. Space could still be a problem with that many though. I had 4 2gallons in a 3x3 , moved 1 out so there was only 3 and space is still tight. No room for proper LST. As for the current grow, I'm not sure how you've got 7 in there in 2gallons unless they're really small?

You don't really want to transplant during flowering as it can effect yield if its stressed or problems arise. You should transplant before you flower so you can rectify any problems while its still in veg.

What I said about the next grow is presuming you have half decent lightning and ventilation. What's your setup?

yes 7 plants in "2 gallon pots"...
with each plant being about "1 foot tall and topped 1 time"...
i am asking this question a little too late in the grow i know but ive transplanted during bloom once or twice in the past..
so do i need to transplant given these factors? or can the babes survive in the small 2 gallon pot without getting root bound?
so i have seven plants already in the 2 gallon but if i needed to transplant into bigger pots... how big or what size pot do i need with
a 2 x 3 foot space and 1 foot tall plants? sorry for repeating myself... hope this clears some things up
