Southern CA Patient Indoor Soil Grow

Hi All,
Been lurking for awhile and have learned a lot, so I thought I would share some of the little experience I have. I did my first grow last year and started some new ladies around mid October.

My first grow was 4 plants: (2) Purple Kush & (2) Afghan Kush from One Love Medical Evolution in the LBC.

My second/current grow is 6 plants: (2) Orgasmic OG, (2) MTF (Mantusa Thunder Fuck), and (2) Purple Kush from the same dispensary above.

The clones I've picked up from this particular dispensary have been excellent. Read their reviews on Weed Maps and it seems others feel the same.

I have a blog where I documented it all, PM me if you want it, as I don't want to promote on this forum.

Here's some photos of my 1st Grow:

Here's my current/2nd grow:

I almost picked up clones from this shop! Good job, I will def keep them in mind for future reference. How did you keep it from getting hot in that closet? Did you just keep the doors open, because there doesn't seem like a lot of airflow but that is a nice little space. Thanks for the info

I am running a 400 watt MH for veg and 400 watt HPS for flower. My first grow I got about 1 ounce per plant. Veg was 4 weeks from when I picked up the clones.

Just picked up a 600 watt ballast and HPS bulb for flowering for this grow. I'll leave the 400 watt until flower starts, then hit them with the 600.

The clones there are awesome IMO. I have a bathroom exhaust fan I picked up at Home Depot for about $15, it works pretty well during winter and early spring as outside temps aren't too warm here in Southern CA. I should also note that I built this in the back corner of my garage so the garage tends to be cooler.

Looking real good, I've been vegging for about 5 weeks thinking about flipping next week. Would you recommend the tomato cages? Real excited to stick along

I really would recommend the cages. They worked great last time and I only used them on 2 out of my 4 plants. Now I've decided to always use them, so I got them on all 6 plants.

Here's come new shots of my room:

Thanks a lot Ill look into tomato cages. Wasn't really sure whats their purpose...
Some people like wooden or bamboo stakes to help support the buds if they get too heavy, but I prefer the cages. Don't put them on too early or else the light might be too far away and your ladies might stretch a little bit.

I don't know why but I think I would also prefer tomato cages over stakes. Ive browsed around AMAZON they have some cages. I'm going to have to wait until the 15th. Living paycheck to paycheck you know... Thanks again for the advice

Nope, they didn't turn purple...some of the big fan leaves are purplish since they are showing signs of finishing off! Should have them chopped down an a few days...
