And these fucking Pot Choppers are just burning the hell out of fuel this year...

I feel safe though, Tank GOD for paranoia :)
yeh but fuel is cheap and think of all the good that they do:roll:....not really!
your plants are looking great tho  I bet they shot up a foot after all that rain.

You got some good stuff goin on out there dude. That PVH and the Mekong haze sound interesting. I'd sure like to get ahold of some of those genetics. I had some beautiful thais many years ago but the popo took them away. :finger:
Looks like you're gonna have a good year if you can keep the worms out of it

Man that sucks that the police took all of your genetics away... Last year I lost 5500 seeds of different strains, 3 of which were my own strains. I was just a day away from selling my first strain to a spanish Marijuana grower with his own seed distributor.
Luckily I had given my little cousin 20 of my Thai Haze#47 F3's and he didn't even plant the first one so I got all 20 back. Now I've started 10 of them so I can do a seed run, I'm kinda glad that I didn't get to sell the strain because I'd like to do my own thing with it.
Hell me and my father are both on probation for Cultivation...
Back in 2010 the cops raided my indoor grow and confiscated 50 huge female Jack Herer plants, Back in March of this year I opened up the Mountain Eagle news paper and as I was reading the indictment article I came across my name and my dads.lol To say the least I was shocked because it had been almost 3 years since the raid and we never even got a fine. Some asshole state cop decided that he needed some credit and put our names in front of the grand jury...
But, All is well and as long as I pass my drug tests I've got only 4 more months and then I'm done with probation. I've not had a joint in a year and a half and I can't wait to burn one :)

I've not gotten any new worms, I hope not to get anymore but you know the old saying - Hope in one hand and shit in the other, See which hand fills up first...lol

What's up my Bluegrass buddies! Always love seeing you all here on RIU. Sometimes I feel like a lone wolf on here. Lol! You sound like you have had about the same upbringing that I have had. My dad grew pot indoors when I was younger, and he passed on all of his knowledge when I was a teenager trying to grow my first outdoor bagseeds in the woods behind my house. Lol! The good old days! Now I am growing indoors, and I have to admit that I love it. I don't ever want to quit, but you never know when the MAN will be at your front door f*#king sh#t up! Now that I have grown both indoor and outdoor, I have to admit that they both have their own advantages. Nothing like the free sun though. Goddamn they grow so fast outside. It's great! Anyways you have some bushes going on there! I can't wait to see what those mosters flower out like. Good luck with the bugs and let me know of anything that you find that works as a deterant! You can always use them worms as fish bait!

yep son, ...early 70s I had some thais from original thai sticks and some Oaxacan vegging in the house and the telephone man looked in the window. I was young and stupid, what can I say? I was going to cross them. Also had some redbud Columbian in the greenhouse that was beginning to flower. Tore my ass up to say the least. They got all of my seeds from the 60s and 70s, worth a fortune today. There was everything there that I had smoked for almost 10 years that was worth saving. Guerreran, michoacan, thai, columbians, acapulco gold, all the good stuff really. spilled milk I guess:sad:
It was a small, small town so the cop had me follow them in my own truck to the courthouse in a nearby, not quite so small town. They woke up the old judge there and brought her down to the courtroom. It was hilarious , she was still in her bathrobe! Anyway, I got off pretty easy for those days...fined 120 bucks each for me and for my girl. When I walked out of the courtroom into the cold, hard light of day I couldn't believe what I fucking saw. My plants were still sitting in back of the trooper's truck parked in the street! I could only shake my head and walk away.
Well hang in there bud, you'll be back in the groove before you know it:wink:

Not a lot of us Kentuckians around the forums, I've met only maybe 12 over 4 years. Glad to be here with you.
I've yet to notice anymore worm holes but I'm vigilant and just love to squash their fucking guts out...lol :)

I was very fortunate to have given my little cousin 50 of my Thai Haze#47 F3 seeds and he kept everyone of them. I lost all of my stash last year so he felt sorry enough for me to give them all back, I'm glad he's to damn lazy to grow a plant...lol

The days are getting very hot and even though its storming almost everyday the ground or very dry.
I have the girls in almost 33gallon wholes but they suck up so much water that I still have to give them each 5gallona of water daily.
Usually I grow my plants in 5gallon buckets and would usually have at least 25 or more. I love growing in buckets but the plants can only get so big so this year I figured that I could dig really deep and wide holes. I always use my own mixture of soil which is mulched horse shot and saw dust, the compost mixture is always mulched for 3 years. The soil is so nutrient rich that it sustains the plants all growing season eliminating the need for plant food.
I still like to use Fox-Farms 3 part formula because that stuff is steroids for cannabis.
Until next time, Keep it green RIU!!!!

looking good man. theyre monsters. gonna be a good yield.
Thanks man!
Yeah I'm very satisfied with the size of my crop this year, I'll for sure be growing in the ground from now on but I still like having bucket plants for more manageable sized girls...
If everything goes as planned and God willing I come off with all of them I expect a couple of them to yield a Pound or more...

I'm in the KY too, only NKY and i'm just a beginner with a project on a much smaller scale than yours over in the auto sub-forum.

Your grow is awesome! I'm subbing up to see how this turns out!

I like autos too, Actually I'm in love with the idea. For the last 5 years I've been buying and trading auto strains, Though I've ran into a lot of AF that are close to hemp on the potency scale. I made a friend from Thailand that sent me an Auto-Flowering strain that they've been growing for thousands of years, It is high in potency and Is almost pure Sativa. I had a Spanish Auto strain called Purple AK-47 that yields monster sized buds and weight is great, So I mixed the 2 strains to get the best of both worlds. I ended up with an awesome Thai Haze#47 F3, I lost all of the seeds from my strain project as soon as I got them stabilized. I was lucky to have given my cousin 50 of them and now I'm starting some of my Thai Haze#47 F3's to do a seed run, Soon as I get seeds from them I'll be posting an Indoor grow thread to follow the grow...

Here's some update pictures, It had just stormed. This year I fear that mold will be a monster headache to deal with but I'll just go by my mold motto -
"When in doubt, Cut it out!"...

Seems that the stalks and branches have hardened up enough to keep the bore worms out of them so thats one pest taken care of...

Now I just have to keep dead leaves off of them so that they dont start molding, Hopefully from now until full budding I wont have to worry about pests.
When the buds develope I'll just have to keep an eye on bud rot, Grey dust mold, Bud worms and Spider mites...

Keep it green RIU!!!

Lookin decent. I am thankful I haven't heard of a few of the pests you mentioned.

When you said dead leaves? did you mean the plants are losing leaves or other leaves in the area?

I mean leaves that are yellowing and dying normally, I ust get them away from the plant before they start to rot then mold because this is a very wet season...

I just found this thread and Im happy to see some fellow Kentuckians on rollitup. This is my second year growing and I have learned so much from researching on this site. The chopper have flown over here twice this year already. I got three of my babies chopped last year because of newbie mistakes. Yeah, they sent three of the camo trucks right down the road by my house for three plants. The main reason why I posted was because I wanted to say hi, and I have two plants that have been hurt by the bore worms. I didn't know what they were at first and I didn't what to do about it. I did a little research and everything I found just said I was screwed. I tried to cover one of the holes on one of my plants and the little bastard just went up the plant and made another hole. Does the saw grass idea work well. I'm going to try it later. Will the borers kill the plant? Besides the holes the plants are not showing any obvious signs of destruction. Good luck this year guys.
