So I live in South Dakota, one of the shittiest stoner states. Can somebody tell me what the best predicted date of recreational legalization would be? Whether it be state or federally legal. I realize there is no way to be sure, but what are some opinions, hopefully based on the most facts?

I might actually be moving to Washington, so that'd be great. In case I don't, I really dread living here. I think it's ridiculous how smoking pot can be legal in one state and illegal in another. I understand WHY it's that way. It's just ridiculous it is this way. At the very least it should be federally decriminalized.

I kind of hope it does go federal before many states are legal, just because it'll piss a lot of people off more that way.

One of my bros lives there.
I was talking with him a few months ago and he mentioned something about SD lowering the actual penalties for MJ. Something like possession of a half oz and under got knocked down to a really small misdemeanor. Like they just ticket you, take your smoke and you go about your business.
As far as statewide they make far too much $ off the Dui racket. I'm pretty sure they just dismissed legalization this year.
You don't pass a piss test and you got popped with possession. Then it's pretty much up to you to prove to the courts you weren't driving under the influence if the DA up and decides to wreck your wallet for a few grand.
Then it's off to serve some jail time. They offer work release and pretty much rob you blind for a few weeks/months @ 50%.
I thought my state was fucked until I looked into all that craziness.

Absolutely ridiculous.
It sounds like I'm just better off moving
