Sour Grape & Casey Jones

I smoked some Casey Jones the other day, and man, that shit is dank! Danky smell, good robust skunky/musky flavor with a good after taste that stays on your lips for a while.

All around great smoke.

Okay guys, so I just got Casey jones clones from blue sky in Oakland. The Casey jones are already near a foot ad it's been just 8 days in soil Under a 1000w light. I hear these get fast quickly, and I only have about 5 feet here to work with. My cycle is 21 hours of light 3 dark. Is this too much light? My soil Is Miracle grow, 20-10-10. At what point if any do I need to throw in more nutrients? And when do I top them? I hear they can double in flowering, so when do I begin the flowering phase if I have limited space? In other words how much are they predicted to grow after I force them?

I would say they would double in size during the 12/12 stretch. My Casey Jones girl was 2 feet tall and shot up 6 inchs in about 3 days of 12/12. She would have kept going like that but I used HCO's Bushmaster to stop her.

I would also cut the light to 18/6. The roots have more time to grow... I heard they grow mostly overnight. And you want a big root mass to get big buds. Plus the extra electricity will be nice to save on the bill.

You can top them whenever you like. Just do it during veg.

Start giving them nutes when they look like they need them. Better to under nute them then over nute them. Easier to add some more then flush it out. But this is coming from someone who does hydro.

Last thing... you'd get more help starting a thread. I don't know if anyone aside from me is watching this thread.

Here's my girls as of yesterday:

Well if you look at my plants... the casey jones is taller. She is more stretchy than the Sour Grape... so I would say No, the sour grape won't 'catch up'. It would work the other way around.

I would guess the CJ to double in size during 12/12... so flip when they are a little less than half as tall as they can be. If you have 4 feet of height for then to be... I would flip the switch when the tallest are about 22 inches tall.

The CJ doesn't smell too much.... just a musty 'plant' smell.

The Sour Grape STINKS TO HIGH HEAVEN. This is my 3rd grow.... I've done 5 different strains now. This Sour Grape smells twice as much as any of the others. More like 4 times as much.

Your basement will strait reek. Sorry.

wats up guys im just jumpin in and caught up with the thread. jigfresh gave me the link to come scope another sour grape grow. i just picked up sum as well to grow mothers and get rollin with a legit indoor setup. ive been askin the same questions and sayin the same shit; no info is anywhere on this strain. even the origins are questionable. the oaksterdam brochure says its a threeway hybrid. its brand new to the market and prob why no good info is available so im here to follow and see how shit goes as well with this grow. anyone else with info and grow journals of sourgrape let me know

scribed for sure!

will one carbon filter and a 6 inch heavy duty inline fan be good for a 6X6X6 ft grow op? in a grow tent. Thats only 43.2 by the rating of the filters (6x6x6 divided by 5). so i am assuming it wont smell too bad with the fan and filter going....
so far the sour grapes (3) are about a foot and a half, the 6 casey jones are all about 2 feet, and 3 purple kush are all about 1 and a half feet. Its my 9th day flowering today, so there isnt much to go with the way of budding yet, but these plants look gorgeous.
Ive never seen a plant grow like the casey jones, multiple branches and stretches for the light like none other, if i am going for yield, casey jones would be the only thing i grew.

I wish I could say for sure... but I have no experience with carbon filters... or odor conrol in general. From what I read they do an amazing job. I would guess that would be enough... but can't say for sure.

You are gonna love the 3 strains you are growing. I like the Casey Jones smoke a lot.

I attached a pic of one of the Casey Jones buds.

the carbon charcoal activated filters work awesme. my dad uses them in comercial grade jobs (he owns a AC company) and nuthin beats it. maybe an ozone generator but they have to b sectioned off since 03 is dangerous to humans. but for that size room u could use a 50lb-75lb can and should b cool for almost a year. iid swap them out before then tho to be safe. the SG should reak lik jug said

Expect them to at least triple in size during flowering at least in dirt. More for hydro. Mine keep growing quick until week 6 of flower.

I'm growing another tray of KC now doing SOG hydro. This time they got no veg time at all and look like they'll be the perfect size for their space.

I'd start the nutrients at flowering. KC is heat sensitive and turns real airy/fluffy under high heat, but don't seem to be real sensitive to nuts. You might want to consider using something like silica blast as well has have a fan blowing on them to keep their branch strength up so they can support those baseball bat looking buds.

Hey I just pick up some Sour Grape and Casey Jones Oaksterdam clones too. Lol Can i ask you a few questions about the ppm i should keep my 20 gal res at? I just transplanted the clones in a 6" cube in Ebb and Flow. Any hints for a new grower for this both these strain?
For hydro I follow the humboldt nutrients feeding chart here.http://www.humboldtnutrients.com/schedules/3Part-8-Mod.pdf
I substituted Big up powder for MOAB and added silica blast. PPM's were pretty close to their feeding schedule. Probably could have pushed the nuts a little past that, but they seem to stay very healthy as is so I didn't want to fuck with it too much.

jigfresh you are my hero!!! those vids on youtube were major

HEy rookie q i got two sour grapes flowering as of 2 days ago. Do I turn off both my lights for 12 hours then both on for 12 hours, or am i to use only one of them?
Did you harvest it? how much do you expect to get avg per plant of sour grape.

Major props on that fence thing, I have problems with my plants staying up everytime i change the water and just imagine my prob once the buds come in.

Just harvested a 4x4 table of casey jones. Trimming it up now. Shit is stroooooong! It's still fluffy as all hell but think I might get 2#'s off this table so I can live with that.

:wall: I noticed you also worked with Blue Dream and Casey Jones. I have been trying to find the Sativa/Indica % for Blue Dream, Casey Jones, and Sour Grapes. Do you know what the % of Sativa/Indica is for these three strains?

I know how rediculous this sounds but I cannot find this information. I've searched online, in libraries, and I still have a few strains I do not know the % on. I thought you might know since you have worked with many strains.

If you know anything about Master Kush, God's Gift, and Trainreck that would be very helpful as well.

casey jones has to be at least 80% sativa if not more.

707 headband isn't small either. I've grown those two in the same trey before and it worked out ok. Casey will definitely get bigger, but you should be ok there.
