Sour Disel Aero LED/FLO/HPS Grow

I started some clones at the end of last month (12/20) from my Sour disel Mother plant. so far they are looking great. I took 11 cuttings and they all survived, but i will only be flowering the strongest most sexiest 8 then further thinning out close to flowering down to 6.

I made a custom aero system which i like to call the Brute Aero Cloner. This system is basically two garbage cans, one cut about 1/4th the way up from te bottom, flipped upside down and put inside the other opening of the other garbage can. Then i cut 11 2" holes for the net pots. I used Neoprene collars, pure Aero, no rockwool or rapidrooter plugs. I bought some piping and connectors from my local hardware store, chopped it up and put it all together. then got some misters from a local hydro store. drilled holes in the piping and installed the misters. Im using a 600 GPH pump which works very well.

For Veg i will be using the following:
Four 24" HO FLO's @ 5000 Lumens/ea 6500k
Four 50 watt BLUE SPECTRUM LED's @ 460-470 NM wavelength
-Canna-
Aqua Vega A & B
Rhizotonic
Cannazyme

For bloom i will be using the following:

600watt GE HPS @ 90000 Lumens 2000k
Two 48" HO FLO's @ 5000 Lumens/ea 6500k
-Advanced Nutrients-
Connoiseur A & B
Bud Blood
Carboload

-Canna-
Rhizotonic
Cannazyme

FOR ANY STRESS OR OPPSIES I WILL BE USING SUPER THRIVE HORMONES WITH B1

The tallest clone is about 6in and i plan to let grow to about 12-16 inches or whenver my current grow is finished.

Below are pictures of the system and what they look like as of 01/05/2009 DAY 16 from cloning

Day 27 - Veg

Did a water change yesterday, overall things are looking good, i made a boo boo and broke one of my good clones in half, now im down to 10. It worked out because now i have a spot i can remove the net pot and squirt in PH down or PH up if i need it. I installed a PH monitor from my bloom room since i bought a tri meter for that area, now i can monitor my Brute cloners PH without having to manually test it by taking the top off(less room for messing up my plants). YIPEE.

Below are some pictures, the girls are getting bushy, i can tell they are going to be some champs. The roots are getting extra long too. Thats probably because a couple days back i changed the water auto-spray schedule to 15 minutes on and 45 minutes off. Now the plants produce roots faster in search for water during that long off period. I have had no problems at all with this water schedule, it seems to actually help the plant grow even faster, i swear its getting bushy real quick. I swear on my tallest clone i have 6 nodes already.:o

I also added a LED panel i had hanging around, its red/blue spectrum. i'll be using this until i get the all blue LED board.

Take a look and tell me what you think that mother plant in the background is deficient of.:weed:

both i found out that the end of the roots are in the water, thats the part that is always drinking water, the rest hangs in air and gets watered 15 minutes every hour

the water stays warm too 75F+, and i have not had root rot yet

thanks man, it actually doesn't require too much space at all, that garbage can is ver small, i'd say it covers less than a 2'x2' area, its the grow box that is the hog, im trying to figure out a way to rid the grow box, cause when summer comes around its going to be hard to keep the temps nice

a while back i switched the timer to 15 on 45 off, that was not a good idea, i should have kept it at 15/15. Also i need to get a ppm meter for this grow, im sure the plants were eating the nutes super fast due to there were 11 at one point. I am left with 4 surviving plants which are struggling, one is showing promise. It looks like this was a trial run.

I will next time have a ppm meter monitoring nute strength, and also be using cal/mg supplement being that cannabis uses high amounts of these nutes. I may also use a rectangular res rather than a trash can type. I'm thinking about buying a cooling rod also to keep the res cool because the pump warms up the water too much for my liking. I may even scratch it all together im not sure just yet....more to come stay tuned
