Soon but not ready yet

Ok i am in like my 7th week of flowering and yes imma 1st timer! I like to work a few weeks ahead of the game so now i have started to think about drying, curing sounds pretty simple. I would like to know if there is a strong oder when drying. I have a few thoughts in ming, 1 being to buy a huge rubbermaid container and stick a fan in the inside, cut a 6inch hole in the side and run a carbon filter inside for the week that i dry. Also i was thinking of cutting another 4 in hole and putting in a duct fan to get some good air in for all the bad air going out. That way i can kill the oder if any and have some good air flow. I figure since i have that stuff all ready why not.

Can someone let me know if that was overthinking or smart thinking!

...okay bro. Drying and cure'n are 2 different things. You dry your bud then you cure it. The longer it cures, the better the taste ( some argue). The seed breeders that enter their MJ into cannibus cups usually have MJ cured for months.

...the best way I've found is to hang them on fishing string inside of your grow room. DO NOT put a fan on your buds while they dry. DO NOT use a dehumidifer to dry your buds. You can obviously do what you please with your product...but, you should let them hang dry on the fishing string hanging upside down in the dark for atleast 3 days with only your carbon filter running. Light decomposes THC during the drying process...some say you shouldn't cure your bud until the stem snaps.

Sounds like great thinking to me, The air movement in the box may dry the bud to quickly though? I'am about 2 weeks behind you and as a first time grower I'm starting to wonder about drying/curing also. I will follow this to see if someone "knowing" wil respond..Buds look Great, I'm Jelous

No fans got it. No light got it. Cool well it sounds like i will be drying in the tent with the carbon filter on only. This is going to get interesting in a few weeks.
