Thats what ill be doing this year, 4 month indoor veg, and then out.
Im in west palm
One of the nicest places other than the west coast I resided in was just south of you...Ocean Ridge.

That's a lot of veg time for your location, I'm 1,500 miles north now and I veg indoors for 6 weeks then place into the ground about Memorial Day...and they are 10 feet by August. Florida is nice b/c you can grow long flowering sativas down there and other cool strains we can't get away with up north. If I was still there, I'd be trying these Malawi Gold beans I've been sitting on.

Peace

Oh it will be in pots,
why smart pot over regular?
You planning on using a garbage can?, cuz' that's what you'll need for that amount of veg time. Smart pots can be buried(or not), and come in much larger sizes.

Take a trip to Home Depot or Lowes, see if they carry Promix. If not, get yourself a ton of peat, some perlite, dolomite lime, and Epsoma Plant-tone and I can show you how to make it yourself for less $$. Then you'll have a cypress tree!.

So guys I know I haven't posted any pictures so I decided to pop that cherry. Here she is. Last night it rained HARD and including the colder temps, I was scared to leave her outside. Mostly because she's still in a small cup and don't think the drainage is good enough to withstand the rain. When I brought her inside all the leaves were drooping hella bad probably from getting so wet.

So I broke the flowering light cycle last night, and shoved her under the CFL where she still sits now. I will be putting her back out soon because I need flowering to start so I have time to finish her.

Anyhow, here's the pics: IMG_6847.JPGIMG_6848.JPGIMG_6849.JPGIMG_6850.JPG

So far she is looking indica dominant if not fully indica, those fan leaves are getting fat. She is stretched though, mostly because she has been under CFL (40 watts, about 1/2 inch above the canopy). Other than that, I think she is looking fine.

Edit: and sorry for the off focus with the camera. I had my cam on center focus instead of auto so some of the nodes in certain pics are hard to see. Can get better pics if needed.

Quick update, I took her out of her box to go back outside this morning. But I think that the temps in the box got super hot last night and kinda fucked things up. Not terribly but the leaves are all curling quite badly upward. They also feel dry along the edges. I hope keeping her outside in the cool weather will counteract this, but I guess I will just see.

So guys it has been a while and I just found a good sign today! WHITE HAIRS! Still small, only 2 coming out, but does white hairs mean it's female? I don't even hardly know what male sex organs look like because it's been a hell of a while since I've had to deal with em.

So I do have two white hairs I just noticed. So does that mean it can't be male? Or do males also have hairs + balls? I know it still could hermi, but just wondering if these white hairs mean it's for sure a female at this point.

I will post pics of her. I had some problem with the bottom fan leaves and some yellowing/drying of them. But it hasn't affected anything else yet. But any advice is appreciated! Pics will come later today or tomorrow.

Edit: Glad to see other florida posters in here. It felt like forever before this plant showed sex, now I have only about 2 months to flower her before light changes and I gotta chop her, or shove her inside to finish

Hai gaiz. Last time I posted I mentioned my plant is in fact a female. She has a few more hairs growing out now so I decided to snap some pics.

In the first pic if you look closely you will see some of the hairs. UNFORTUNATELY, I don't own a macro lens for my camera, so that's about as close as I can get. The plant is small, of course, because she was 12/12 from seed:

The last pic is of one of the lower leaves and it is yellow/burnt on the tips. It hasn't affected any other part of the plant yet but I'm curious to know if anyone can tell me what would cause that?

So this plant has stretched a fair bit over the past week or so. I'll have to get pics soon but she is shooting hairs from every node possible now.

My main question is, in about 80-90 days, the light outdoors in my area will switch to veg times again. Do you think that that will be long enough of a time to finish flowering her?

Should be bro. I just put a couple outdoors to flower 11 days ago, all depends on the strain

I really wish I knew what strain it is. Honestly I thought it was an indica from the beginning because the fan leaves were rather fat. Now they look more sativa like but the plant is still small (most likely due to it being 12/12 from seed). Should be interesting to see what yield is as I'm only feeding her water and unsulphured molasses. I used to use a lot of nutes but am out of them. =[
