Hi guys and gals I'm starting my second grow with some soon to be upgraded equipment. I started the BlueBerry Skunk from seed and recieved the Sensi Star from the local compassion club. They have plenty of light, ventilaion and air circulation. They are both right around 3 weeks old and today on there feeding I gave them 1/4 strength of grow fret today. fed water every 2-3 days. Roughly 1/2-3/4 liter per feeding each. I guess it could be humidity but not sure I added a humidifer in the near visinity but not change? Some help or Ideas would be greatful. Thanks

that is a sure sign of a water issue. they will look like that both ways. to dry and overwatered. i agree with the use of perlite in your grow medium. also bigger pots would hold moisture longer. are there drain holes in those pots?

Thanks guys, I water when the first 1" is dry. The Sensi Star is in a perlite/Promix combination. The Blueberry Skunk that looks the worst is in only peat moss. It's Jiffy peat moss. It's all I had and I was in a pinch. There are drain holes in the bottom of both pots. I water about 500ml every 2 days in the Blueberry Skunk and about 750ml every 3-4 days in the Sensi Star. Temps are 20-25 with lights on and 18-19 wih lights off. Always well ventilated cab. Under approx 135w;Actual wattage, 6400K. I know I need to transplant in the next few days and it will be into Pro-Mix and 1 gallon pots. These will be mothers. They will reside in 3gal pots in the end. I'm having a hard time with it being a watering issue but I will entertain it and watch my PH a little closer as well. I noticed in my last grow if they looked like this from being way too dried out within a few hours they would perk up but mine ALWAYS look like this... Also I have always used a small amount of molasses with every feeding. Thank again for all the help folks!

Bump... Anyone else. I'm QUITE sure it's not Water issues. It certinly isn't overwatering. If I was growing in just peat moss for these first 3.5 weeks do you think it might be a lack of oxygen to the roots it couldn't be root binding at this early... Right?

The soil is still wet and not yet dried out but all the bottom leaves feel very "crispy" I put a (hot) humidifier into the larger room and am allowing the mist to be pushed into the mini mother room with a fan on the outside. Reason is I don't want to put the humidifier right in there it would be too much and would probably eff with the electricity!

Okay another update for the folks that are watching this thread. Okay I think it might have been a drainage issue. I Transplanted her(Fingers crossed its a lady!) into a mixture high in perlite and put a hand full of rocks at the bottom to help with drainage this time. If this was the problem can someone give me a rough idea when I should see results of her perking up after the transplant... I assume a day or two.

They were smaller pots so I figured 1" would be roughly the same as 2" dry in a 2-3 gallon planter... when they get watered I made sure EVERY time they where very dry and when picked up VERY light weight. I know what it looks like, but I know from my last grow when a good idea to water is. Mind you I had plenty of issues during my first grow but none of which was over watering if anything it was under-watering in this grow and the last that was or would be an issue. I think the pot couldn't drain and the peat was plugging the small drain holes in the pot and the girls feet were saying soaked for extended periods of time. how long till I should see results from the transplant weither good or bad.

did the clones come in rockwool or oasis cubes cause the rockwool could be water logged if it is to far down in the soil IMO

That's fine. LOL I'm guilty of that too. Yeah I only transplanted the Blueberry Skunk today the Sensi Star is still in its bigger pot. The Sensi is in a rockwool cube in promix/perlit mixture. The roots on the BS looked very healthy and white, all coiled around the base of pot. I think it will come around. I'm hoping it was just to dense a medium being just peatmoss and all.

Thanks for following up Glass!

I think your right Glass. If this is the case when should I see a change in the plant? 1 weekish or should I be expecting results sooner with the transplant and all.

overwatering and draininge are the problem must add perlite to the peatmoss. i used the same thing and the same problem arised so i just made a new mix with perlite and make sure drainage is good. ive never believed in water with set amounts i always let dry good and then water what ever it takes to get some good drainage out the bottom. give it a week and see what u think. whats the ph at?

Thanks Mister Apprentice, I have a good feeling this will solve my issues. Soil and perlite I used were both flushed after mixed 3X the volume of water to soil/perlite(PHed my non-clorinated water to 6.2). The rocks on the bottom Helped BIG time with drainage!

it should perk up within a few days....keep us posted!!..also sometimes when I see a plant that's not perky like the rest i'll gently give it upward strokes and kind of try and stimulate it....sounds gross huh...but it works imo
