Did you have them in the freezer by any chance?
I won't ever keep mine in there again. It totally fuxks with them!

Ps - don't forget your dark time. It encourages stretch of your root and your stem. Just in case you had them 24/0

HMMMM...first pic is a seedling for sure. Not much more to say at this point. The 2nd pic looks like a bowl of dirt. Which by the way...are you using plain dirt for a medium? Also as @Foothills said 1.5" is just plain too deep. In general, I think most growerz would agree that between 1/4 and 1/2 inches deep is just right.

Not to be disagreeable. But IMHO plants, like most living things, require a sleep period. In dark time the plant is sleeping and recuperating from the days growth. When awakened it begins to stretch looking for light. How far the plant stretches will then be determined by the plant's proximity to the light....at least that is the way I have seen it happen in nature, like forever...just sayin.

Root stretch occurs when a plant is getting bigger and healthier. Personally I like to keep the medium just moist and make the roots stretch searching for more moisture. At least until the plant is very well developed.

1.5 inches is to deep, my friend. Low nutes as in, you've given them nutes already ?
Oh yeah...if you have already started feeding...stop. seedlings need no additional nutrients. They are born with what they need to survive for at least a week to 10 days. Then the soil itself starts to feed unless you are in hydro or soil less. If you use a premium soil for cannabis you will not need any additional nutrients for a good long time, depending on the soil used and the amount...as long as 4 weeks. If you are using organic and/or compost medium with additional additives for healthy plant growth, feeding may never be necessary.

Fair point , however , put a freshly popped seedling in the dark and put one in the light...the dark ones tap stretches like a bean sprout "searching"

That is my point...it is stretching to find the light...if it stays in the dark and is unable to find light, what do you think will happen? Plants grow when the stretch looking for light...Why? Because they need light... not darkness to grow. The seedling that is in the light will grow to the light...the other will likely never develop a set of true leaves and stretch until it falls over and dies. :peace:

as a rule of thumb for any seed...plant three times the diameter of the seed so in ur case a half inch would have sufficed. no nutes for like a month at least

i digged them up and replanted them , They still had the seedshell and wernt fully germintated yet and they didnt look like they were rotting so i just planted them in a New pot and they look exactly the same as they did when i first planted them, They didnt seem to strtch much , they were problably too deep or sumthin, I think they should be good
