You aren't going to screw them down? I wouldn't ever trust tape. Screws and thermal grease for me.
Nah, whytewidow never used anything other than tape,He used same strips, sinks and frame, thats good enough for me.

I honestly dont know any better one way or the other. Im just following his lead and sorta mimicking his build.

If you ever want to be able to make alterations to your light, you may wish to reconsider that tape. Thermal grease is messy and time consuming but again, it is a great option for having the option to change your mind later.

Nah I don't have those concerns lol

By the time I want to change anything with this light. I'll want to change the entire light lol

By then There will be some new glittery tech catching our eye

I was working on my lighting rig today. Note the cutter strips screwed to the aluminum plate, they are all thermal greased.
Next comes the control panel rewiring.
Nice job bud. Looks awesome.

Where do someone buy thermal paste?

Thermal tape won't be here for a week Mark is sending me 2 rolls. If I can find tape tomorrow in town I'll buy it. if the paste can be bought locally faster I'll Consider that route for sure

Sure, but you can find thermal grease easily at your friendly neighbourhood computer store....good luck finding the tape locally in all but the largest cities

Ya I don't think I'm gonn find the tape anywhere around where I live.

Mark is sending 2 rolls but from aus it's gonna take another 3-5-7 days? Who knows.

So if I can fine paste I'll consider that route for sure

Just zip tie them on temporarily until the tape comes in if you run at low current they shouldn't get very hot

Ya I'm running them at 525ma so very soft.

I got 54 strips and 3 fixtures to make, I'd hate to build and wire them up and then have to take it apart to tape them.

Good option tho, thanks

some spectral love on optisolis solstrip br this is 5000k Optisolis, 2000k Nichia V2 and cree xqe 660

Im loving the the last graph with a beautifully flat balanced spectrum with nice red peak, would make a nice early/late photoperiod spectrum before tuning down red during a full photoperiod veg run, or stretch/nodal control light, tuneable boards really provide super granular control
Cheers

is this with 660nm only or the 660 + 730 2:1 channel as advertised on the page?

these charts based on board only with 5k/2k and 660, no 730, you would see a 730 spike if the board had 730
