Soil

High everyone,

Hope all is well with everyone out there. I have a few questions regarding soil.

Here I am using Miracle Gro potting soil. I just realized last night that the time release fertilizer in there aren't any good for MJ.

Can I Flush the soil out and use fox farm fertilizers? Or should I transplant them into Fox Farms Ocean forest soil? I am on a tight budget till pay day next weekend grrr. I know I am getting a little N burn and some pre signs of K burns and I want to fix it soon. Any helpful links or forums for feeding my mj would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Everyone and smoke up and sit back. bongsmilie

Yea thanks, I plan on getting Fox farm ocean forest next time but I am gonna see how it goes with the bat guano for a week. I am gonna see how the plant does in the next week. I notice I have 3 or 4 calyxes on one of my plants and it has been on 18/6 light cycle so what does that mean? Should I switch em to 12/12 now regardless? I don't know. I wasn't expecting the calyx to come out now.

whatever you do, don't flush MG potting soil
recipe for disaster, likely you will burn your seedling to a crisp
extra water = extra fertilizer = nute burn
many do grow with MG potting soil, but it has its own tricks, over watering is the worse thing you can do with it

i'm using miracle grow organic which has barely any nutes. You can get it pretty much anywhere. ,my seedlings are doing fine with it.

i use MG organic garden soil myself, it does work well, found that it needs a shot of dolomite to sweeten its ph

mg potting is a very different beast, it can be used, but funny enough it's more of an experts soil
not many experts use it though

I started my plants with mircle gro moisture control and so far it has been fine. I am still only in the first couple of weeks though. When did your problems start?

I am thinking of switching to Fox Farms when I transplant as well.
