Eh!? Did i not ask a question? I assumed i was correct; where did you get that?!
As far as bringing ph UP, can i not use Baking soda?

What is pH, and what do the terms acidic and alkaline mean?
The acidity or alkalinity of the soil is measured by pH (potential Hydrogen ions). Basically it's a measure of the amount of lime (calcium) contained in your soil, and the type of soil that you have. A soil with a pH lower than 7.0 is an acidic soil and one with a pH higher than 7.0 is considered to be alkaline. A pH of 7.0 is neutral.
Adjusting your soil pH :
Once you have determined the pH of your soil with a good tester, you can amend the soil if needed to accommodate the plants in your garden using inexpensive materials commonly available at your local garden center.
Adjust soil pH slowly over several days time, and check pH often as you go. Radical changes in pH may cause osmotic shock damage to the roots.
Raising soil pH : (to make it more alkaline)
It is generally easier to make soil mixes more alkaline than it is to make them more acidic. The addition of dolomite lime, hardwood ash, bone meal, crushed marble, or crushed oyster shells will help to raise the soil pH.

If your soil needs to be more acidic, sawdust, composted leaves, wood chips, cottonseed meal, leaf mold and especially peat moss, will lower the soil pH.

i use the water tester for both. dont have one for soil. they may be a little more acurate?
well i have to be carefull giving advice now. i just got slamed by some punk on another thread. i geusse i`m a puck hog, i have to many posts and activity for him so he thinks i`m doing this to gain fake points or something? ha ha. i told him i would have them all erased if it made him feel better so he reported me to staff. ha ha ha oh well sorry i`m laid up in bed right now sick and this is keeping me bussy. anyway just had to vent

Bull shit! You've been nothing but brilliant help!!! And you certainly do know your stuff! Hes probably just jelous! (which thread?) What did the Admins say? "stop posting so much!"? HA! fuckin L! Yea i think with the amount of points you got now you could buy a car, all though i think you should save it and buy a house.
Anyways, i managed to find both a liquid ph tester + 3-in-1 soil moisture, pH and light meter which i can get for under £20!!!!!! including shipping.(from e-bay ofcourse) so i think i'll go ahead and get both, unless i didnt count my money right and run out.....

i used canna coco fibre as my medium and all the canna nutes...never check my p.h last grow 27 oz from 5 plants....all organic. All from growell.

efp thx for the support. i`m a little sicker than a cold, thats why i have a med card to grow. anyway his issue was that i posted 3 times or so in a row to the guy that started the thread and i geusse i should have waited to answer and done it in 1. well the thread owner was pm`ing me so i was giving my answers on the journal and they didn`t see the other side of the conversation.

i stopped phing my water for soil and i am not having a problem .if you simply go to orchard or home depot get either bone meal or blood meal it will help change the ph of your soil. just read on the box. dont let growing get too technical. i recomend using the dosage of nutes on the bottle dont ph and just feed the plants its easy and youll have less issues. in hydro you need to ph but with soil ive always found that phing always leads to a need to fix the ph later .trust me i

lemon skunk from GHS..... i did have loads of head space so i vegged for 2 1/2 months hence the large yield....havent got the head room anymore though

that has got to be the worst advice i have ever seen on here go read son.
99% of any nutes will lower ph and if you dont fix it your soil will lock. why would you need to spend any money to keep your soil`s ph proper? i dont thats why i ph my nutes.
there are some that are already buffered for this and may not need to be adjusted much but that is as close as you are to being correct
if you need i can get one of the people at advanced nutes to come and back my statement up if you need?
Did you use CFL's? If so, which ones/how many? and in what size of space?
I cant seem to find "canna coco fibre" on growell. Can you give me a link?
Also could you be more specific on the nutes. Which ones did you use?

This is the full canna range they also have a chart that explains how much nutes to use for the diff stages of growth. This is all in mls and ltrs i used it as a guide as ur plants will tell u what they need.

Thanks leafysmell. Im gonna stick with Bio-Bizz All-mix soil though(at least for the time being). I think its gonna cause me less hasstle. what with all the nutes and stuff. 'bonz' has advised me quite a alot on it and the whole soil thing, it just feels more comfortable.
What type of lighting did you use though? how many?
PS - Did you order the coco to be delivered to your place or did you pick it up your self? if ordered, how was it packaged? ina box, original?

I went and picked it up, i used a quite a few cfl's for veg and 2 1000w hps for flower. struggled with heat a bit though with the hps as was in a barn and in the middle of summer.
