Soil transformation test

I have abut 4 gallons of Miracle Grow potting mix that has been feed with MG nutes. NOW, if I understand correctly, this salty synthetic mix can be composted until it becomes organic? The mix breaks down and the salt is no longer an issue?

I added in 1/2 a large watermelon rine
5 egg shells
5 whole bananas
1 bundle of swiss char
2 carrots
A table spoon of Jobes' tomato & vegatable fertilizer with bio-zom
2 cups of green plum tree leaves

1 can of beer and 1 can of pepsi to help speed up the breakdown

I may add worms into the compost container but Im not sure they be able to live in there yet

oh fuck man, i'm sorry, I totally thought you were messing with us
sooo to be totally honest man, for just 4 gallons?
i'd toss that, I have NO idea what the hell all that sugar and stuff from the soda/beer is gonna do.
in the future what you want to do is simply empty that soil out in your compost pile, layered with grass and leaves and allowed to breakdown over the winter.
the other option is to empty it into a wormbin.
last but not least, is leave the soil in a container, and plant a cover crop on it, and then allow the cover crop to compost back into it.

also the fruit you are adding is gonna make a BUNCH of flies...
those are better for a wormbin, and you want to freeze and rethaw it prior to adding it, and then you want to cover the fruit mash with soil to keep the flies off.
but the amount of fruit you added would be WAY too much, hell I have a whoooole lot of worms in my bin and that's too much fruit for them, and I have lbs and lbs of reds in there

The beer is for yeast. The soda is for sugar. Ive seen a bunch of videos demonstrating it. Speeds up the break down. Im a few says in and everything is quite mushy and barely recognizable. And yes there a fucking flies EVERYWHERE.

I just dont want to waste that soil. It may even up being too nutrient rich and must be combined with other store bought soil to be useful again.

well I can say that i'd not do that personally.
beer and soda are for your belly man.
if you are trying to speed things up in that manner i'd recommend a lacto tea, a compost tea, or things of that like first.
cover the soil up with a dry soil and that'll keep the flies away.

Mg from Scott's is owned by Monsanto, so eventually it might break down,

it would never ever be organic, what it actually decays too ...is anyone's guess,

avoid and trash that MG Shit,

hunt your hood for local made organic mixes,

ask at your garden centers,

failing that lean toward Fox Farm Ocean Forest , with 20% perlite for drainage
