Soil & Nutes question(s):

We have a number of plants going in soil, and they are doing fine, but I was wondering if anyone here has ever tried introducing red worms or night crawlers into the pots that the plants are growing in? And if so, what results did you get?

Also, the two of us working together to grow, we both are composters and I will be starting a worm farm as well this winter/spring. Anyone used the compost tea or worm tea to fertilize or feed your plants?

Thanks!

Im new to growing but it is too easy to over nute plants so there is no point to adding pests when i can be done easily with foxfarm.
just my opinion

Hmm, I understand what you are getting at and keeping it simple is always a good idea. Still, they are not pests at all, in fact they are purely beneficial. Just wondering if anyone had tried it, or heard of anyone who tried it.

Compost works pretty well, from what I've seen in other grows. I did it a while ago when i wanted to be super earthy, but then it just got to be a bit of a pain. I mean, some people have the time they need to do it, but I'm just not the person to do it anymore.

I can find organic nutes from other companies who have more time to make things work well. They can actually keep things sterile (which I suppose doesn't mean anything with compost) and they can make the same batch for each batch. Woah, does that even make sense?

What I'm saying is that when you make compost and worm tea, it's hard to get the same ratios each time, so this is something that you need to keep in mind when you want to try to get the same results each time.

Impossible, a bit, but certainly something that would be cool to learn.

good luck!
