:weed: K...... so i think i figured out what the bugs are that are in my soil[soil lice} so my question is..... since my grow cabinet is in my room, is there anything that there attracted to so when my fan is on and blowing them all over the ground they will go to just one isolated place....and are they going to be in the smoke when its flowered...can you smoke soil lice.? or will they just stay in the soil except when you water, cause when you water they all come out by the hundreds.:leaf:

you could get a bucket of water and put the plants rootball in it until all soil cums off and them replant it

50/50 rubbing alc and water in a spray bottle spray the top of the soil every two days just a little bit till there all gone and a layer of sand on the top soil will help too.

are you sure on your I.D-ing of the bugs? The "cause when you water they all come out by the hundreds." part of your thread makes me want to say you may have springtails, if that's the case, they are harmless, they eat dead plant matter and fungus.

i think i will just get a rubbermaid container [a low one but long in width] and stick my plant pot in it and just bairly fill it water not enough to reach the bottom of the pot where it can get to the roots but just enough . because i have a glass of water in my cabinet and they fall in it and just flip around and eventualy die. but the sand yeally helps keep there numbers down...?

most spring tails ive seen are white, some can be black however.

coupla questions,
1: do they jump around?
2: can you see little antennae on their heads?

one part hydrogen peroxide, three parts water next time you water. add a little neem oil if you want. i was just dumping soil out of pots after cutting plants and saw lice on the bottom of the pot. they are fast brown or black tiny insects. i was having leaves turn yellow and die so i suspect lice were munching the roots. i never had a bug problem until i bought pre-mixed potting soil... you can bake soil in the oven too. i have way too much though. j
