Probably not as long as you add no Nutrients during veg and don't put seedlings in it till they are older

What kind of soil is it? If it’s a hot soil like Miracle Gro, it will come back to bite you in the form
of nute burn. My first ever grow was in miracle gro because I had no idea what I was doing and thought “the more nutes the better,” which is so far from right. Do you have a line up of nutrients you are planning to use or are you relying on the nutes in the soil to get you through? If so, for how long? My advice would be to get $20 to $30 and go to your local hydroponic shop and either get some coco or promix. Then get a lineup of nutrients that you want to try, probably best to do some research here in the forums to see what other people recommend. I personally use Canna’s coco lineup and coco. But I’ve used promix with advanced in the past. It’s really up to you, it’s pretty much all the same shit, just a little different. I had real tight finances when I first started and bought the cheapest stuff (Lights, nutes, soil, etc) and I wish I would have listened when people told me to save my money and plan ahead instead of just figuring it out as I go. You will have enough figuring out with just getting the nutrient dosages right, without having to worry about if the cheap products you bought are doing more bad than good. With that said though, it’s all a learning process, we are all still learning in one way or another. Good luck to you, let us know how it works out as the plant grows

Wow ok, this is my first post so you guys got me a little excited now, ya I was looking for progro micryza (or however you spell it) because I wanted to try it but nobody has it, the only I can find is miracle gro (probably because people can't be bothered with nutes) I have a pretty good set of general organics that got too about 500 ppm I think. My plants are probably in their second week of veg and about to go into 5 gallon buckets from paper cups which I won't use again because I wasn't thinking and they get wet. I get most of my stuff online so if the coco is a better option then I'm willing to try but I definitely don't want to do the research of organic mixes. Ya i definitely know the feeling of going to little, I tried to use a 2ft cfl t5 fixture for my first grow and was amazed when I upgraded

Ok for one NEVER buy any kind of grow stuff from walmart EVER! They have nothing to offer the cannabis plant. I know from exp. . Find a hydro shop somewhere nearby, sure ya may have to shell out a few more $ but get a good soil mix there. Do some research on soil for cannabis. JM2C

Two things I never skimp on, lighting and mediums .........I wish folks who wanna love this varietal understood bioaccumulators and the role they play when ur ignorant to what your putting into them and develop health issues.mother nature never intended for these cultivars to need Bottled ANYTHING! If u think mankind interfering with these type of things is ok I encourage you to pay attention to the weather ESP on the east coast of the United States!
My point in all this being there are prob items right in your kitchen or backyard you could use just as effectively as what's in the bottles or the ready made commercial mixes they sell folks. Sometimes keeping stuff simple, and easy to understand is the best practice! Unless you enjoy baffling folks with Bullchit

The Walmart’s near me sell small bags of coco, I think Burpee is the brand. One also sells bricks of coco so maybe check other Walmart’s in your area.
If you can’t find any coco they also sell a promix bale. The bale says it comes precharged with nutes but I’m not sure if it’s time release or what.
My local Walmart’s also have bags of organic soil mixes, can’t think of the brand.

Regardless I’d stay far away from miracle grow anything. As a company they make their living selling the cheapest nutes cheaply. That means they are the lowest grade available and full of heavy metals and lord knows what else. With cannabis being a bioaccumulater it will soak up all those heavy metals and hang onto them, meaning you will be smoking bud full of lead and arsenic and every other nasty thing you don’t want to be smoking
