Yeah - that's why I asked - I didn't think there was a 3" starter collar - or anything that small, other than the 2" and smaller
net cups. I'll have to see how you make them...?

the spacing sucks on the ez 120 or any of them for that matter
yours looks like u got plenty room to go around and u can fit the 2" netpot, that's just sweet
love the bottom res, wouldn't do it any other way

as for GH drilling u 2" holes, dont bet on it; i tried to get them
they come pre drilled now from Europe, no more custom drilling

Damn. Botanicare will drill me the 2" for their AeroJet - but I'm not sure how well those work? I can't find a grow journal utilizing one? Anybody? The spray assembly looks choice but the drainage may not be sufficient??? Do the roots clog the drain pipe? At 42" long, the trays are kind of short too.

Do you get condensation buildup on ur air chiller? What type of filter is that? Is that a 10inch canfan? Can't wait for round 2! :-)

no condensation what so ever on my CoolBox (12" Venti model in the pic)
its a FanMax 10 on top of MountainAir 40" x 14" Carbon filter

Hey SOG... was wondering what you are using for chilling your rez??? I was thinking of using the boost bottles but someone was telling me that it is not good for the soup.

Why did you ditch the cool tubes? Isn't it bout to warm up?

cool tubes arent good for distributing light efficiently imo....

-wut up soggy? hows your cool box deal going? are you or your gear gunna be at the s.f. expo again this year? hope so!

i also ditched the tent in case you didn't notice :lol:
it seemed pointless to me to run the tubes without the tent
im cooling the whole room now, instead running the tubes into the CoolBox
im having it scrub the whole room air, work great so far
the fan attached to the carbon filter runs 24/7
the pump that circulate the cold water from the chilled res behind the wall
triggers on when my secondary AC kicks in

Hey SOG

Where are all those sick elite cuts you listed? The new setup looks great but I always wondered if those holes were too close but then again I dont do indo . . . yet, lol. If I ever do an indoor setup, I want to get one of those little radiators for my cooling sys. I need to get my butt in gear and start my grow.

they should have a root ball that fills that hole pot up, if they been around while.

Now a quickie thread jack - Lion, where did you get that Botanicare tray lid? Does it fit their standard 2x4 tray? The one that's about 24" by 44" (no, not 48", which I didn't know until buying a couple).

i keep the bonsai moms for my genetics bank,
i let them run off when i need cuts off them then trim back to two leafs per stalk
few years down the road when they will be flowered, the rockwool will be trimmed down to fit a 3" net pot; then rock and roll
and yea the root will get cut off in the process and rejuvenate back in short veg period

they have a unit that uses this lid and daisy chains up to 4 of these units with one res

you mind giving me a little insight to the temps of the chiller, ambient air, the air coming out of the airbox?

i'm debating whether i build a custom unit like yours or if i buy the hydroinnovations 8" icebox.
