ok i have 2 mh/hps 400w and 1 hps 600w my goal is to maximize my crop in a period of 9 months and i ended up with two scenarios

1) i use one mh lamp to grow and veg from seed 10 feminised in 1,2m2(too much for this space time and lamp?) for 30 days then flower them under 600w hps in 2m2 space.then keep my mh light off for one month(when i start flowering) and then continue as before.

2) i use both mh lamps in 2,4m2 veg 20 feminised for 20 days flower under 600w hps in 2m2.keep mh lamps off for 40 days then start over

so the choice is 20 small plants under one 600w or 10 larger plants under the same lamp?

i ended up with these 2 scenarios because 1)i care a lot about how much power i'll use 2)how to maximize the crop
3) i don't know much about cloning.how many and what types of lamps should be used?how many space in order to keep the mother(s) and veg the clones? how soon will i have my first 10-20 clones ready for flowering?how many mother plants should i keep in order to take 10-20 clones and have them ready to flower in a period of 45-60 days?

you won't really have a chance to clone with 12/12 from seed. best bet there is to veg some out, wait for maturity, and then take clones. as for plant counts, 4 per sf works well for 12/12 from seed. plant more than you need, so after culling males you still have a full canopy/area.

well actually i said i will not do clones for the reasons i stated and all the questions i obiously have about this issue. i will grow feminised so please stick to this.just to be more clear my problem is whether to put 2mh for vegging to veg 20 plants (feminised) and then bloom them under 1 600w or to veg 10 plants(feminised) under 1 mh and bloom them under 1 600w?
or if you have a beeter sugestion for plants/400w mh please share it with me.i believe that i can put as may as possible under the 600w when in bloom without getting them stressed(right???) .i'm also afraid not to stress the 10 plants under 1mh 400 because of them being too close to each other.please correct me if i'm wrong.

its all about spacing for light penetration. If you start them early enough on 12\12, like you plan to, you should be able to do 20 under your 600w, going to get crowded. You want it full covered but not too crammed. Make sure air gets up in the plants during mature veg to move moisture away from the buds.

you're wrong. if you flower early enough you generally won't have any branching, and can place 4 plants per square foot.

that considered, use one 400w mh (3x3 foot print) to veg 36 plants (3x3 is 9, 9x4 is 36). flower when you're ready.

i guess i should also point out that 100% feminized seeds does not mean 100% females produced. fem seeds produce males and females, just like any other seeds, but with a generally higher female ratio (and hermaphrodite ratio).

so, there's the answers to you questions, and as you're not really looking to learn, just someone to hold your hand, i'm out of the conversation. have fun!
