SoG Coco multi strain

With the last plant harvested and a quick cleanup I am starting to populate my trays for my second grow in this room.

Grow is coco in 3.75" net pots, hand watered, GH Florabloom and Floramicro, with my own additives.

Genetics will be something like this:

Sannie's Jack from seed
Ganesha's Dream clone
Killing Kush
OGRascal's The White s1
White Skunk (Nirvana)
AK48 (Nirvana)
Papaya (Nirvana)
El Monstre (Sannie)
Cindy 99 Pineapple F2 (Potpimp from Brothers Grimm)
Bloo Goo Pot Pimp
(if I for got any I will add them)

I want to do some crosses with some of these lines. The White was purchased to add a little sparkle to GD and perhaps another that I have in mind.

Knights Templar is on the way and I hope to be getting Black Domina as well.

Looks good dude
So those net cups in the rubbermaid tubs are all going to be hand watered?
Yes a couple times a day. I may do a drip system if my arm gets tired but I like the idea of deciding if they have enough to drink.

And there are two more trays. One got inhabited today. The other may be another day or two.

If you got a few airpumps and air stones you could turn those into DWC systems
Much faster growth and you don't need to worry about over or under waters

Don't know much about DWC but with each container holding 55 gal x 5 I would have close to 250 gal of nutes and the stand would would have to support 1750 lbs. with an old pier and beam house I would have to add support and my stand wouldn't hold that either.

I am considering switching to the 4'x4' ebb and flow trays in the future since they are not so tall and more flexible with layout.

Has anyone done ebb and flow with coco? I just hate to change too quickly and be chasing ghost again. Right now nothing is really diffrent from last cycle as I haven't even run out of Canna nutes yet and started using GH.

Thanks Tom.... I have been considering using 4x4 trays to hand water in even though the guy at the local has kept suggesting ebb and flow.

It would save me room when they are smaller and not sexed yet (from seed). And allow for greater flexibility and height as well. Anyone know if you can use net pots with ebb and flow or would I need to repot everything into the square pots?

It is better to have them in square pots but i have seen quite a few grows where they used net cups
If you are getting a 4 by 4 tray and already have a rez all you would need is a water pump $25-30, fill and drain kit $10, and some tubing to attach to the fill and drain fittings. It would make it so much easier on you man, just mix up nutes once every week or two and let the timer and water pump control their watering

Actually I have the drain kits and pumps but no res big enough I am still mixing daily in a 5gal. The 4x4's were about $145 each and I am gonna shop the local farm store to see what a res will cost me. I had just bought a controller to run my co2 and fans and such today so that was $200 and the pump was $25 I think. I will have to count my pennies and see if 2 trays are in my future. And I have plenty of timers.

How much res do I need for 2- 4'x4' trays?

I think it is a general rule of thumb for your rez to hold twice as much water as you table does
I would use a different res for each res so that you can do multiple strains and not worry about having to compensate for different strains on the same table

I am doing starting a germination test on my Ganesha's Dream BX1. Thirty seeds scuffed in a film canister lined with sandpaper, now soaking in same with warm water and 1 drop of H & G Root Accelerator.

Hmmmm, I am gonna have to make a lot of room for 2 80 gal rez.

I'm sure you could probably get away with a smaller one it will just mean you have to mix up new nutes more often

Yea those are very heavy duty. I have used them to water sock before oddly enough.

I am going to have to pick one that fits under the tray for sure though. I can of course make the legs taller but I don't want to get to tall and lose the height I am gaining.

I had just bought a 1/4 hp sump pump yesterday that can handle both trays at once. I will talk to the local shop owner who runs a a 4x8 tray and see what he is using for a rez. He is the cheapest grower I know, which can't be good for business cause he is always going "you don't need that".

A quick update, I am still all in veg. I hope to get something moved around to flower this weekend. Man I hope I never screw the pooch like that again. I am gonna be out before it is ready!

OK the grow looks nothing like that anymore.
I added to 4x4 tables and am trying to do ebb and flow with GH in coco. Only one table is fully populated and the veg tent is bulging with at least 100 more cuts waiting their turn. I got a cut from everything but the Sannie's Jack as they still don't have any lateral shoots.

The other strain I have in there that I forgot on my first post is Floja by the Potpimp himself. I have some Cardiac Arrest and Knights Templar on the way as well. I have huge plans for breeding with KT.

Here is a shot of the 4x4 that is going into flower today.
