Somewhat recent group photo- color/contrast is a bit shot... but they're looking nice and bushy! The middle one (Amnesia lemon) isn't really keeping up with the pack, which is a shame because its actually been the most durable.... but the other 3 hula haze have taken really well.

The last 10 days have been hard on em- I FIM'd them right before the ph crisis happened, so the growth nodes were pretty stunted but they're starting to fill out nicely now.

lol got some insta-stretch overnight (framing is the same as in the above animation), I'm thinking it might be time to flower soon- after all this stress the girls are probably ready for it.

plants are looking super scraggly, and they're starting new root growth which is... really odd. So stretching from both ends somehow.

all this new parallel root growth.... really hoping the main root mass didnt start to die. The old roots definitely arent as white as the new ones... so doubling down on the great white- hope things work out. Ran out of tea, so just going on great white right now. No bad smells yet..


also not sure why they're deciding to stretch so much. Maybe now that the nutrients are settled they're finally trying to do the sativa thing. Definitely need to start flowering soon.



I did finally trim them after the pictures were taken, so much damaged growth. All the nodes survived tho, so thats good. Once they start looking healthier ill LST them, switch to HPS and 12/12.

Plants look like they're starting to take form. Seems like from the hula haze i have 2 stretchy sativa dominant, and 1 bushy indica dominant.
The 1 amnesia lemon (middle) is still doing ok, but really not much action. Can barely see it. I'd like to get clones from all of em, but so far my attempts at cloning have been miserable.

They're getting a bit too big for the webcam now:

really cool stuff with the raspberry pi, i love the charts in the photos i assume thats the digital output. are you planning on writing a tutorial so others may build this with there own raspberry pi? also, is it possible to connect the raspberry pi to your network so you may look at the digital output remotely say from an iphone or android.

yup! eventually ill open source this, at least that's what im designing it for. I've been working on a contrib to the Pi4J repo as far as more low-leve sensor support- everything is Java/Scala right now but it's really trim and is set up to send stats to a remote server- right now im using a home server, but you could use ec2 or something remote (hell, even the pi itself) as long as the network/storage is fiddled with the right way.

But in the long run, I want to get something that could run basically off the shelf with the pi- configure for the right sensors and pins, pipe to controllers, boom.

been a while since updating- not really much going on. My rez is now dropping in ph pretty constantly, but the roots seem fine, rez seems fine... everything seems fine? So not sure if it's some sort of biological die-off or something, but it is getting more stable each day. Plants are really taking off with growth, on their 6th day of 12/12 now. Quickly realizing what kind of space issues im going to have... plus, out of the 4 plants, i have 2 massive ones, 1 medium size, and 1 straight up runt. I waited too long to kill off the small one.... no way its possible now without dumping dead biomass into the rez. Think ill just have to keep it alive somehow.

I've been trying to think of how to LST these and really dont have any options at the moment lol. Once I move the lights back up and get the vent hose out of the way, I should have space I think. The main issue is the one in the upper left has the most space to LST, but unfortunately its not one of the 2 big ones lol.



I'm starting to get some condensation in the tent now which definitely worries me. I think I got all the electronics moved away from the 'cold' areas that were collecting dew, but shit... that really worries me. My RH really hasn't gotten above 70% but when the lights go out, it gets cold fast. I got one of those silica dehumidifiers but pretty sure ill have to recharge it every day. I think ill try to get a small real humidifier off amazon maybe

plants also look a bit nitrogen sick- im really thinking that must be a biological thing in the end, not sure what would cause a spike in nitrogen like that.

You might want to write it in C++ to optimize it and make it run faster. :wink: :twisted:

bieeettccchh i get 3% user CPU and 4% sys CPU on average. The drivers eat up more CPU time :P

And no, I won't get into the spaces vs tabs debate. (scala style recommends spaces tho)

EDIT: plus I use intellij with smart tabs. I can use the key, and it does what i want with spaces! weeeeee
