Soda tax

Some dirtbag Christian group? LMAO!

Which Christian dirtbag group is it? Is it the one that works for no pay while washing the feet of lepers? Is it the ones who feed the homeless in downtown Los Angeles? Is it the ones (Teen Challenge) who convert totally lost teenage drug abusers into productive citizens? Is it the ones who provide shelter for the homeless during the winter in Chicago? Is it the ones who provide superior educations, not only to those children of their own faiths, but to the children of non-believers as well?

Come on man ... spell it out ... who exactly are these dirtbag Christian groups? bongsmilie

And on the soda issue. Stop drinking that crap. Its full of High Fructose Corn Syrup. HFCS supresses your insulin level and that leads to Type II diabetes. It also causes a chemical reaction that prevents the brain from telling you that you are full. There are tons of soda drinkers who have, or will have Type II diabetes and who are obese. Have you stepped on a scale lately?

I will agree with you on one thing: There should be no tax on soda to support a health care system, period. A government that FORCES it's citizens to buy insurance, is a totalitarian government run by statists.

I'll take issue with another one of your statements though:

"But it is very possible it will happen. I'm all for the health care bill. It's just $0.12 is high. I understand stuff will be raised but that much is insane."

Do you actually think that anything ... anything at all that the government does is free? Do you believe that you actually have a say-so on this issue? If so, give ol' Obama a call and he may be able to help you out.
Always with the colored text. Use black like everybody else. Christians suck in my opinion. All religion really but they suck the most in my opinion. Most Christians are rich so they use good deeds to look good and get tax breaks. They also lead the fight against weed staying illegal. I'm not fat from soda but I also work out. But someone shouldn't tell you what to put in your body whether it be drugs or food. I didn't say I want it for free or expect it that way. Where did you get that anyway? I said it's a little drastic but if it is for everyone to health care I'm all for it. I just don't want it raised for the hell of it. Since I found out it's going for health care now I feel comfortable paying it.

Comfortable? Even when it reaches 25 cents a can? Even when the government mandates that you work out another 2 hours a week (and make sure you have the government fitness form signed by the government worker at the government gym while you're there)? For your health?

Wow, postulate much? You DO realize there are nations with universal coverage, and NONE of those nations require their citizens to "work out", right?

Yeah, it's a slippery slope from universal health care to becoming the 2nd Third Reich, I know. That's why all the nations with universal health care have burned their books and taken up building concentration camps, right?

No. Actually, it's because they don't have to defend themselves, thanks to the lone super power doing their defending for them, which has allowed them to continue funding the sham which is socialized medicine. When they have to protect themselves from aggressors once again, these socialized countries you adore, the promise of free "health care" will go up in flames, along with the infrastructure.

You can't have a intelligent conversation with you. You will go to the limit with everything for attention and to start arguments.

Wait... why do they have militaries if they don't have to defend themselves?

You're making things up. China has a larger military force than we do, and they have "socialized" medicine.
