It is a method used to build responsibility, makes people treat it like gold instead of a peice of paper with some number on it. But how often does someone ask to see if your card is laminated or not? I would just do it and stick it to the man!
that's sort of my point, it IS just a piece of paper. it's totally replacable. how about instead of charging fees to replace the fucking thing they just let us lake the $ and get the thing laminated? that's it i'm laminating it. breakin' the law. fuck you, uncle sam, and your creepy beard, too.

SS numbers are only given in the U.S. and they are also recycled when people die. I thought everyone learned this hsit in school. I swear our school system is garbage and the kids are getting dumber every generation. Were all fucked

i am not lying to you when i say that i never learned anything about this in public school. my school didn't offer a civics class, either, which i find appalling. inner city schools suck extra. oh, well. there's always the internet...:spew:

ok im on a thinking high......
but a social security number contains 9 digits from 0-9

that would make a total of around 1 billion possibilities.... (please tell me if im wrong... i havent done the number of possibilities since like i was 13...)
anyway continuing my question....

how the fuck can everybody in the world get a SSN if were 6.5 billion peeps ???? man im fucking confused !!!!!
fucking thinking weed LOL
I'm sure they will figure out some type of zipcode number order and who knows they might get so wild that they can throw letters too. That should bring infinity of SSL.

Q20: Are Social Security numbers reused after a person dies?

A: No. We do not reassign a Social Security number (SSN) after the number holder's death. Even though we have issued over 453 million SSNs so far, and we assign about 5 and one-half million new numbers a year, the current numbering system will provide us with enough new numbers for several generations into the future with no changes in the numbering system.
