He went missing 10 days ago (last Tues.) he never showed up the next day for his shift and so on for the next 10 days, his family hadn't seen him, nothing.

They found his body 3 days ago.

The information was confirmed and released today with very little detail.

He was a Man, my boss, my co-worker, my mentor and more importantly my friend.

This goes out to anyone and everyone who has lost someone near and dear to them, whether it be a freind, family member, co-worker, etc...

Forever will their souls R.I.P. This :joint: is for you!

Just needed to vent and spread some love. Feel free to share any experiences you have had. I'm hittin' the bottle hard and rethinkin' life and it's values. Spreadn' good vibes. Thanks for readin' :joint:

I'm sorry to hear about your friend and colleague. I work in a genetics lab, and if my graduate student or postdoc died it would be devastating -- my grad student is like my dad in the lab.

I lost a friend four years ago. He was a freshmen at UW and was hit by a bus while skateboarding down capitol hill super later during finals. So sad... he was one of the most amazing people I knew.

Wow! What a way to go out! Sorry to hear...

I'm a chef and work in a kitchen as an Assistant Kitchen Manager, this guy was my Kitchen Manager, we ran as a team for only about a year, but bonded we did in that time. It was a good year.

Sorry to hear that. What was the cause of death if you don't mind me asking.
It hasn't been confirmed... Rumor has it... Overdose (Suicide).

He had a lot of home problems... He was the type to keep all his problems to himself and focus only on others...

i worked with this dude for years.. we got close when we found out we were both into the same drugs..he had helped me a lot by telling me about the methadone treatment center i've been on now for the past ten years... as soon as i got on it, i got clean while he still struggled off and on for the next few years with heroin..
he finally got arrested for some dumb shit, and ended up getting himself clean.. it was amazing, i've never seen a bigger turn around in a person in my life.. he really was an inspiration, and came to mean a lot to me..
he had about 3 years clean, just bought a condo with his gf when one night his son went to say something to him while he was on the computer, but he never responded... he was dead right there at the keyboard... all of the bs that he did in his past had finally caught up to him, even though he had been clean for over 3 years..
he was only 35 when he died, and i still think about him all of the time.. death does really have a way of making you think about things and just how short and precious the lil time we do have on this ride called life really is..
live it up and enjoy each day like it's your last is what i always say as you never know when it just maybe.. :)

Right on! Sorry to hear, but nice addition to this thread! My heart goes out to you ....

I most definately live each day as if it were my last. I maybe be young, but if I died, I'd die a happy man!

I worked 3 years in a Thai kitchen, and made some of the best friends, and had some great times. I can relate. Maybe you can find some way to honor him through your work to help with the grieving process?

I still cry when I think about my friend. i went to high school with her, but after our sophomore year she didnt come back to school, she was getting chemo. She died in march. It hurts really bad to think about her, we werent close but like we used to talk about boys, makeup, the future, etc. She was an amazing girl.

too many people go too soon. my heart is with you, hope you feel better

Absolutely! I learned a lot from him... Everytime I use a method/technique he taught me it's a constant reminder of his kindness and guidance. I'm gonna be fine, I learned a lot from this individual. He just most definately did not deserve to die! He was an awesome human being, which can seem to be more scarce these days...

I feel you bro. I lost my dad this past Halloween, a day before my birthday even. It's tough
Wow! Yeah... My dad is dead to me, but that's a whole other topic...

I couldn't even imagine losing someone as close to me as my son though... That's just damn near unbearable.

That thought haunts me too buddy! It's a scary thing to think about. If I lost a kid I'd lose myself
All we can do is do our best to be there when we're needed.

I'm extremely grateful for my family... I don't take anything for granted.

And I'm due to load a fat bong bowl and just chill with my thoughts.

I apprecitate the love everybody!!

People that take there life's think its a easy out,but they don't think how hard its gonna be for everyone they left behind. That's what I always tell my friend.
